9/23/2024

Deputy responded to a civil matter on CR 307.

Deputies assisted with funeral escort.

Deputy conducted a requested welfare check on an individual near the Precinct 4 Office in Dime Box.

Deputy responded to Westwood Lane in regard to an aggressive dog report.

Deputy conducted a requested welfare check on an individual at a business in Dime Box.

Deputy conducted a requested welfare check at a residence on CR 408.

Deputy conducted a requested welfare check at a residence on CR 114.

Deputy responded to CR 329 on a report of illegal dumping.

Deputy completed a follow up investigation on Clark Lane in regard to illegal dumping.

Deputy spoke with a complainant in regard to an abandoned vehicle on private property off of FM 141.

Investigator completed an investigation at a residence on Shady Oaks in regard to a theft/trespassing case.

Sergeant spoke with a complainant in regard to damaged property.

Deputies responded to a crisis intervention call and met with the involved party, who was provided transport to an out-of-county facility for treatment.

 

9/24/2024 

Dispatch received report of a minor two vehicle crash in front of Lexington High School. Crash report by DPS.

Sergeant responded to North Rockdale Street on a report of aggressive dogs. Upon the Deputy's arrival, the dogs were observed in their yard. Information shared with LPD.

Deputy arrested one male at District Court and transported to the Lee County Jail.

Deputy spoke with a complainant on CR 213 in regard to fence damage.

Captain and Investigator completed a follow up investigation on a theft/trespassing case. Property recovered and returned to the owner.

Deputy checked on a motorist that was stopped in the middle of CR 326. All okay.

Deputy responded to another report of aggressive loose dogs on North Rockdale Street. Deputy was able to re-secure the animals in their yard.

Deputy booked one subject into the Lee County Jail that surrendered himself from District Court.

Deputy assisted GPD with traffic control for an oversized load at Independence Street/Railroad tracks.

Deputy spoke with concerned citizen report of vehicles not stopping for school bus in the 5100 Block of East Austin Street. Information passed along to day patrol.

Sheriff returned loose livestock to pasture in the 4100 Block of Hwy 77 North.

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 290 East on a reported reckless driver.

Motorist report debris on SH 21 at the Burleson County line. Deputy responded but did not locate the debris.

Caller reported a suspicious male subject refusing to leave a convenience store on SH 21. Deputy responded and determined that the individual had already left the area.

Another caller reported the same suspicious person at an address on CR 403. Deputy located the individual, who was provided a courtesy ride.

Motorist reported a one vehicle minor crash vs. deer. Deputy responded to investigate.

 

9/25/2024

Deputy responded to a requested welfare check at a residence on CR 133.

Deputy met with a complainant in regard to missing cattle on CR 121. Cattle were located.

Deputy met with a complainant at the sheriff's office in regard to terroristic threat

 

9/26/2024

Deputy and VFD responded to a fire near the train tracks at CR 134/CR 117. Fire extinguished and train traffic resumed.

Complainant reported a known suspect stealing from a store. Deputy took a report.

Deputies responded to CR 314 after a truck was located, which had originally been reported stolen out of Lee County. Vehicle recovered.

Caller reported a suspicious male subject walking in the roadway on SH 21 in Old Dime Box. Deputy located the individual and provided a courtesy ride.

Caller reported a suspicious male subject at a convenience store that was closing. Deputies responded, but the caller advised that the subject left. Deputies checked the area but were unable to locate.

Caller reported several the sounds of gunfire and a vehicle speeding away on CR 232. Deputies and Constable Pct. 2 patrolled the area but were unable to locate.

Deputies responded to a disturbance in Lexington. Deputies determined there was no criminal offense and a resource was provided to future assistance.

Deputy located a suspicious male subject at a storage building facility on East. Railroad ROW. The subject attempted to flee on foot but was arrested after a brief foot chase and secured in the Lee County Jail.

 

9/27/2024

Deputy assisted DPS Trooper on traffic stop Highway 290 West. Wanted subject with violent tendencies was transported to Lee County Jail on an out-of-county warrant without incident.

Deputies took an Estray Livestock report from CR 114. Three head were sent to be held at Giddings Livestock Commission pending the outcome of the estray process.

Deputy responded to a civil matter at a residence on FM 141.

Sheriff and Deputy assisted with security measures at St. Paul Serbin.

Deputy responded to an address on FM 141 in regard to illegal dumping.

Sheriff and GPD Officer responded to a Church in Giddings for a crisis intervention call.

GPD requested LCSO assistance with a disturbance on Wells Cove. Deputies responded to the scene.

Deputies responded to a crisis intervention call on CR 114.

Deputy responded to an address on N. Rockdale Street in regard to a loose brown pit bull. Upon the Deputy's arrival, the animal was back in the yard and the owner was not home.

Deputy responded to a civil matter on PR 8019.

Motorist reported a reckless driver on SH 21 East. Deputy responded and located the vehicle and made a traffic stop. One suspect was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.

 

9/28/2024

Deputy assisted a stranded motorist on Hwy 77 North.

While patrolling Highway 77 North of Giddings, a Deputy located a male subject running on the highway and yelling at passing cars. The individual was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail.

Deputy responded to a business in Lexington to meet with a complainant.

Deputy responded to a residence on CR 114 on a requested welfare check.

Deputy responded to a convenience store in Lexington in regard to a disturbance.

Complainant on CR C reported the theft of a vehicle from their property. Deputy responded to investigate.

Complainant reported gunfire on CR 132. Deputy patrolled the area but did not locate the source and there were no additional shots fired.

Deputy responded to investigate a dog bite at 5600 block of Hwy 290 East.

Deputy initiated a traffic stop on Hwy 290 West/CR 200 and the driver was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail.

Deputy responded to assist GPD on a report of a male subject with a gun in the alley of the 100 block of West Austin Street.

 

9/29/2024

Deputy spoke with a complainant on CR B that is having trouble with dogs killing goats.

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on CR 226. It was determined that there was no criminal offense and parties were separated.

Complainant reported a theft on Westwood Lane. Deputy responded to investigate and report.

Complainant reported a theft on 5th Street in Lexington. Deputy responded to investigate and report.

 

Deputies made 65 traffic stops, 25 security checks, and responded to 20 animal complaints for this reporting period.
