On Friday 9/13/2024 at approximately 9:00 a.m., the Lee County Sheriff's Office received a call requesting medical personnel at an address located on County Road 402, near Dime Box, Texas.

Lee County Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the scene along with Deputies of the Lee County Sheriff's Office. Deputies arrived on scene and located a young child with severe injuries.

The child was transported by Lee County EMS to a hospital in Austin, TX; where he succumbed to his injuries; and was pronounced deceased.

Investigators with the Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene to investigate. Investigators determined that the child received injuries after colliding with a vehicle in the family driveway.

Based upon the initial findings of the investigation, there is no evidence of foul play. Our thoughts, prayers, and most sincere condolences remain with the family.
