8/26/2024
Sergeant checked on a stranded motorist at CR 117/143. Wrecker was summoned to assist the driver.
Deputy responded to property on CR 135 where a burglary of a habitation occurred. Report made.
Reporting party requested a Deputy for an assault that occurred. Deputy met with the parties involved and a Criminal Trespass Warning was served.
Reporting party on CR 227 requested assistance for a snake in a bedroom. Deputy responded and removed the snake from the residence.
Complainant reported that his keys and wallet were stolen, and their GPS location was pinged at an address on FM 448. Deputy arrived at the location and recovered the items from the employee, who had the items turned-in to him after they were found.
Complainant reported two pickup trucks dumping chemicals into a creek on PR 1804. When the complainant approached, male subjects ran to their brown single cab trucks and fled the area. Lee and Washington County Deputies were notified to be on the lookout for the vehicles.
Deputy with a complainant at the sheriff's office in regard to identity theft. Report taken.
Sergeant and Deputy responded to a domestic disturbance on CR 132. Report taken.
At exactly midnight, a caller reported seeing a snake in their bedroom. Deputy responded to the residence to assist.
Deputy checked on an 18-wheeler parked in the roadway at SH 21/Hwy 77. The driver was advised of a safe location to park that was not on the roadway.
8/27/2024
Caller requested a welfare check on the driver of a blue car parked at FM 619/FM 696. Deputy responded to the area, but the vehicle was gone upon arrival.
Sergeant met with a complainant in regard to identity theft. Report taken.
The following crashes were reported between 4:00pm and 5:07pm:
- Motorist reported a single vehicle crash on FM 141. Deputy and Trooper responded to investigate.
- Motorist reported a single vehicle crash on Hwy 77 North of SH 21. Deputy responded to investigate.
- Motorist reported a two-vehicle crash at FM 141/CR 117. Giddings Fire, Lee County EMS, and Trooper responded.
- Motorist reported a crash on Hwy 77 at Nails Creek Bridge. Giddings Fire, LCEMS, and Trooper responded.
- Dime Box VFD reported a single vehicle crash on SH 21/CR 440. Deputy and Trooper responded.
Complainant on CR 213 reported three small puppies that were dropped off in the area. Deputy responded and met with the complainant.
Deputy met with a complainant at the sheriff's office in regard to possible fraud.
8/28/2024
Caller reported a pack of dogs on Hwy 77 near the Lexington City limits. Sergeant checked the area, but did not locate any dogs.
Deputies responded to a welfare check at a residence on CR 107. Contact was made with both parties, and it was determined that everything was safe.
Complainant requested a Deputy at a convenience store in Lexington to make a report against an employee. Deputy responded to investigate.
Deputy met with a complainant at the sheriff's office who reported he had received a counterfeit $20 bill. Information was taken and the bill was seized.
Deputies assisted Giddings PD with a juvenile matter on Rolling Oaks Dr. The juvenile was returned to parents.
Deputies met with a complainant who advised that she was involved in an assault. Report taken.
Deputies made a welfare check on an individual for crisis intervention matter. All okay.
8/29/2024
Deputies assisted Giddings PD on a report of two stolen vehicles from Austin traveling on Hwy 290 eastbound.
Sergeant met with a complainant at the sheriff's office in regard to harassment. A criminal trespass warning was served on another individual.
Motorist reported a reckless driver on Hwy 77 North. Deputies assisted Lexington PD and Constable Pct. 3.
Lee County EMS reported a fawn stuck in the fence at Giddings HS. Deputy arrived and was able to free the deer.
Deputy spoke with a caller on the phone in regard to a civil matter on CR 101.
Citizen reported dogs that were dumped on CR 213. Deputy responded to the area and located the animals, however there was no vacancy at the animal shelter.
Complainant sent a text message to 911 reporting shots fired in the area of the South Lee County VFD. Deputies patrolled the area and did not locate any activity.
8/30/2024
Female subject with an outstanding warrant surrendered herself at the sheriff's office. Deputy processed and secured her in the Lee County Jail.
Caller reported a sexual assault that occurred at a location in Lee County. Deputy took the information report. Further investigation to follow with Criminal Investigations.
Deputy red tagged a Chevy truck that was parked off of FM 2440.
Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 290 East. The belligerent suspect was arrested for DWI and transported to the Lee County Jail.
8/31/2024
While on a routine traffic stop on SH 21, Deputy advised Dispatch that his patrol vehicle was on fire. Lincoln and Giddings Fire were summoned to the scene. Sheriff, Chief Deputy, Captain, and Sergeant made location. No one was injured.
Caller reported a small car swerved and hit a sign on FM 696 West. LCEMS and Squad 1 advised there was no patient, and a Deputy made location to investigate.
Motorist reported a vehicle vs. horse crash on FM 3403. Sergeant, Trooper, Dime Box VFD, and Lee County EMS were summoned to the scene.
9/1/2024
Deputies conducted a requested welfare check at a property on CR B.
Deputy responded to an address on CR 107 for a civil standby.
Deputy responded to Hwy 77 North to conduct a requested welfare check on an individual. All okay.
Deputies responded to CR 450 on a juvenile matter. All okay.
Complainant reported an individual sitting at an entrance that belongs to their neighbor. Deputy made location and met with the person. The party chose to continue on their walk along Hwy 77 North.
Caller reported a vehicle fire at PR 1181. Sergeant and Giddings Fire responded to the scene. Driver was provided a courtesy ride.
Complainant from PR 5002 reported a male subject showed up at their residence stating that he was involved in a boating crash and people were looking for him. Deputy and Game Warden were dispatched to the location. Game Warden confirmed that Burleson County was searching for this individual. The male subject was turned over to authorities at the lake.
Deputy located a dog that was struck by a vehicle at Hwy 77 North/Rockdale Street. Deputy transported the dog to the animal shelter.
Deputy located a male subject who had been drinking along with a medical issue. The subject was released to family members.
Caller reported a travel trailer fire near CR 424. Sergeant and Dime Box VFD responded to the scene to extinguish the fire and investigate.
Deputies conducted 81 traffic stops and completed 27 close patrols for this reporting period.
