7/22/2024

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle on FM 696 West that had been sitting in their driveway for over 30 minutes. Vehicle ran out of gas and got back on the road.

Deputy and Lexington Officer conducted a walk thru of Lexington Elementary.

Motorist reported a reckless driver on Hwy 21. Deputy checked the area to the Bastrop County line. Unable to locate the vehicle.

Sergeant met with a registered sex offender at the Sheriff's Office.

Caller reported a one vehicle rollover accident on Hwy 21 near CR 440. Deputies, Trooper, EMS and Fire responded to the call.

Deputy assisted DPS with a traffic stop on Hwy 290. One subject was detained and transported to the Lee County Jail.

Deputy checked out with a suspicious person on Hwy 77. Subject was given a courtesy ride to Giddings.

Deputy came upon a vehicle vs animal accident on Hwy 21 near CR 402. Information was taken.

 

7/23/2024

Sergeant met with a registered sex offender at the Sheriff's Office.

Complainant stated that his father was still getting toll bills for a truck he sold. Sergeant met with the seller and buyer, and the matter was resolved.

Sergeant met with a registered sex offender at the Sheriff's Office.

Homeowner on CR 205 reported a break in and items missing from the residence. Deputy responded to take a report.

Deputy assisted Giddings PD with a traffic stop and PC search on East Austin Street.

Caller advised that her friend's husband followed her friend to a residence on East Hwy 290 and was refusing to leave. Deputies responded to the call, and a criminal trespass warning was issued.

Deputy assisted a motorist with a flat tire on CR 205. Tire service was contacted to assist.

SO Washington County requested assistance with a wrong way driver on Hwy 290 traveling westbound. Deputies assisted with traffic control while information was taken.

 

7/24/2024

Chief Deputy, Deputy and Lexington Officer assisted with a funeral escort to the Lexington Cemetery.

Deputy and Constable conducted a warrant arrest at adult probation. Subject was taken into custody and transported to the Lee County Jail.

Complainant came to the Sheriff's Office reporting that several guns were stolen out of his truck. Deputy met with complainant to take a report.

Sergeant and Deputy assisted with traffic control while wreckers pulled out an 18-wheeler from the ditch on FM 696.

Deputy checked out with a motorist on FM 112 at CR 317. Vehicle had a broken drive shaft and was off the roadway.

Dispatch received a call about two missing juveniles from CR 430. Sergeant and Deputy responded, and both juveniles were located.

 

7/25/2024

Motorist reported a reckless driver on Hwy 21 West traveling eastbound. Deputy checked the area but did not locate the vehicle.

Deputy took subject into custody for warrant. Subject was transported to the Lee County Jail.

Sergeant and Deputy responded to a one vehicle accident on Hwy 21 west of FM 1624. Vehicle was towed.

Caller reported a one vehicle accident on Hwy 21 near CR 114. Deputies, Fire and EMS responded to the scene.

Deputy and Constable were dispatched to a one vehicle rollover accident on FM 141 near CR 119. Property owner was notified of fence damage, and driver was cited.

Sergeant met with a complainant at the Sheriff's Office for a follow up.

Resident on FM 141 requested a deputy to come to her residence for a missing firearm. Deputy responded and took information for a report.

Dispatch received a 911 open line pinging on PR 2906. Deputy checked the area but could not locate a caller.

 

7/26/2024

Deputy removed debris from roadway on CR 333.

Deputy checked out with a suspicious vehicle CR 304 at CR 304A. Occupants advised they were lost.

Sheriff received information regarding a suspicious vehicle in connection with burglaries in the Fayette County area. The vehicle was said to be in the Serbin area. Sheriff, Sergeant, Deputies and Constable checked the area, but did not locate the vehicle.

Caller reported a missing person on FM 1697 after person assisted the caller with cattle. Deputy responded, and advised someone located the subject.

SO Washington County advised of a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of traffic on Hwy 290. Deputies and Troopers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputy assisted with a vehicle unlock on Main Street in Giddings.

Giddings PD requested assistance with a combative subject on East Hempstead Street. Deputies responded, and the subject was taken into custody.

Deputy assisted Giddings PD with a traffic stop on North Dallas. Subject was detained and transported to the Lee County Jail.

 

7/27/2024

Sergeant was dispatched to a commercial burglary alarm in Dime Box. Building was secure.

Dispatch received multiple calls about a fire on the side of the road on Hwy 21 near PR 8026. Fire was dispatched, and Deputy assisted with traffic control.

Deputy responded to a residential alarm on CR 101. Homeowner was on scene.

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the area of CR 130 and PR 1302. Deputies checked the area but could not locate the vehicle.

Dispatch received a 911 call about a subject lying next to the fence on Hwy 21 near Bubba's Truck Stop. Deputy checked the area but did not locate the subject.

Deputy assisted Giddings PD with a one vehicle accident on South Main at Polk Street. Driver was taken into custody and transported to the Lee County Jail.

Deputy reported a disabled vehicle on Hwy 290 near CR 203. Vehicle was unoccupied and secured off the roadway.

 

7/28/2024

Dispatch received a 911 hang up call from a residence on CR 213. Deputy responded and made contact with the homeowner.

Sheriff received a call about four subjects in a black truck attempting to dump trash in the creek on CR 118. Deputies responded and made contact with the subjects. They were given a warning about illegal dumping.

Motorist reported a stranded motorist on Hwy 77 near CR 223 attempting to change a flat tire but was in an unsafe spot. Deputy responded to assist.

Deputies assisted Lexington PD with a traffic stop on Fourth Street at Rockdale Street. One subject was detained and transported to the Lee County Jail.

Deputy was dispatched to a vehicle vs tree accident on CR 106. Commissioner was notified of sign damage.

Caller stated that his wife assaulted him and caused damage to his vehicle. Deputies responded to the residence on CR 404. Both subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Lee County Jail.

 

Deputies responded to 18 calls for loose livestock.
