Dispatch received report of dog bite from Baylor Scott & White on a local resident. Information taken.
Motorist reported a one vehicle hydroplane off SH 21 at the Burleson County line. Deputy and Troopers responded to the scene.
Motorist reported a one vehicle crash on SH 21/CR 440. Report taken.
Caller reported a black male subject walking at FM 141/CR 116 throwing trash. Deputy responded to patrol the area, but the subject was gone upon arrival.
Caller reported a child custody issue. Information documented.
Motorist reported a one vehicle crash on CR 401. Deputy, Trooper, LCEMS, and Lexington VFD responded to the scene.
Nightshift Deputies assisted Giddings PD with an inmate in the Lee County Jail.
Deputies checked on a noise disturbance on Hwy 290 West. A pickup truck was stuck.
Deputies assisted Giddings PD with a disturbance on South Polk St.
While searching for the suspect from the aforementioned call, Sergeant made a traffic stop on a vehicle for a violation. Upon further investigation, the driver was arrested for DWI and booked into Lee County Jail.

Sheriff met with dog bite victim at the sheriff's office to make report.
Caller requested welfare check on family member on FM 141. Sergeant made location and reported all okay.
Deputies took an information report on North Dallas St. Sergeant later assisted with a civil standby at the location.
Caller reported a large water line blocking the roadway entirely on CR 130. Sergeant responded, but water was over the roadway, preventing a response to a non-emergency. Sergeant was advised later in his shift that the water company was working out there and the line had been removed.
Deputy assisted Giddings PD with a one vehicle crash vs. building at 1600 E. Austin St.

Caller met with Sergeant to report suspicious activity on Hwy 77 South. Information taken.
Sergeant checked on subject walking SH 21 in Old Dime Box. Subject refused a courtesy ride.
Lexington PD reported a crash involving a box truck and fence. Sergeant responded to investigate and make crash report.
Motorist reported a large square bale blocking traffic on Hwy 77 north of GHS. Sergeant responded but was unable to locate.
Bastrop CO SO transferred a reckless driver call on Hwy 290 West. Constable Pct. 2 located and stopped the vehicle.
Deputy and Trooper located a one vehicle crash on SH 21 near CR 114. Lincoln VFD responded to the scene. Crash report taken.
Caller reported a male subject was attempting to steal her vehicle on FM 141. Deputies responded and were able to quell the disturbance.
Motorist reported a male subject walking on SH 21 near CR 114. Deputy located the individual who advised he was walking to Bastrop and refused a courtesy ride.

Sergeant checked on a male subject walking SH 21/Hwy 77. Subject was given a courtesy ride to the Travel Plaza at SH 21/Hwy 290 in Bastrop County.
Deputy was out with an 18-wheeler on FM 141 at the Yegua Creek Bridge, which was closed by TXDOT. Several vehicles were attempting to go around the safety barricades.
Caller reported a burglary of a habitation on FM 3403. Deputies responded to investigate. Evidence located and recovered at the scene. Active investigation.
Deputy intervened in a disturbance over a civil matter on CR 302.
Deputy and Lee County EMS responded to a medical call on CR 127 for a resident who fell.
Caller on Well St. reported his neighbor throwing trash in his yard and damage to a vehicle. Deputies responded to investigate and make report.
Caller reported that his neighbor from the aforementioned call was yelling and threatening him. Deputies returned to investigate.
01/26/2024
Deputy conducted a traffic stop in the GHS school zone on Hwy 77 North. After further investigation, a probable cause search was done, and a handgun was located. The handgun was checked and determined to be stolen out of Houston. The gun was recovered as evidence and the suspect was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.
Deputies assisted with a civil standby on East Hwy 290.
Deputies and Lexington PD officers responded to a disturbance. The matter was determined to be verbal, and the parties were separated.
Caller reported a child custody issue. Information documented.
Deputies assisted Giddings PD with a vehicle pursuit on Hwy 290 East. Vehicle was eventually stopped on Hwy 290 East/FM 180.
Motorist reported a white pickup that was in the ditch on SH 21 near FM 1624. Caller reported the male driver was asleep at the wheel. Deputies responded to the scene. The driver was awoken, and marihuana was located in the truck. The subject was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.

Motorist reported a one vehicle crash on SH 21 east of FM 1624. Deputy, Trooper, and Lincoln VFD responded to the scene. Crash report taken by DPS.
Dispatch received a 911 transfer from SO Burleson CO. Deputies responded to a disturbance on CR 123. Peace restored.
Caller requested welfare check on his elderly friend on SH 21 East. Deputies made location and checked welfare of the individual. All okay.
Caller reported a silver car parked on the side of Hwy 290 West with a female trying to wave people down. Deputy and Trooper responded to investigate. One male subject was found to have an outstanding warrant out of SO Jefferson CO. Subject arrested and transported to Lee County Jail. The other two individuals were provided a courtesy ride to an auto parts store to repair their car.
Dispatch received a call about a suspicious white Jeep parked at an address on Walnut St. It was noted that the previous tenants were evicted earlier that date. Deputies located the vehicle and ensured that no one was in the house in question. Deputies made contact with the property owner for further investigation.
Deputies secured a gate at the sheriff's posse arena after midnight during a close patrol.
Sergeant was advised by a citizen of two black vehicles driving recklessly on CR 402. Deputies patrolled the area; however, the vehicles were gone upon arrival. Close patrol in effect.
01/28/2024
Motorist reported a red and gold colored Ford Ranger parked in the middle of CR 118. Deputy patrolled the area and located the vehicle parked in a driveway on CR 118.
Deputies responded to 18 reports of loose livestock for this reporting period. Sheriff and Deputies spent a lot of time patrolling the county roads and flood prone areas to report road conditions for public safety.
Texas Transportation Code 472.002: Obeying Warning Signs and Barricades. A person commits an offense where a warning sign or barricade has been placed because water is over any portion of a road, street, or highway; the offense is a Class B Misdemeanor.
