9/30/2024

Deputy met with a complainant in regard to a property dispute. Information documented as party did not wish to pursue criminal charges.

Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance. No offense.

Deputy met with an individual in reference to a civil matter. Individual was referred to appropriate authority for their request.

Deputy met with a complainant in regard to an assault. Information taken for offense report.

Complainant reported a theft from their porch. Complainant called back to advise that the incident was caught on camera and the actor left money for the item. No offense.

Deputy met with a complainant in regard to a criminal trespass warning. CTW issued.

Deputy spoke with an individual in regard to a civil matter. Individual was referred to proper authority for their request.

Dispatch received report of a minor crash involving vehicle vs. hog on FM 112. Trooper and VFD responded to scene.

 

10/1/2024

Sheriff and Deputies assisted GPD with loose horses on Hwy 290 West. Horses secured and owner notified.

Deputies assisted with a major two vehicle crash on Hwy 290 West.

Deputies assisted with a two vehicle crash on N. Main Street.

Deputy responded to an address on N. Chambers Street for a juvenile matter.

 

10/2/2024 

Deputy spoke with an individual who sought mental health services for a family member. Referral made.

Deputy responded to a minor crash involving vehicle vs. deer on SH 21 near the Bastrop County line.

Deputy took a report of a stolen vehicle from Baytown PD. Vehicle was located and towed by a rotation wrecker.

Deputy responded to a report of a suspicious person at 1000 Main Avenue. Deputy met with individual and advised him not to return to complainant's property.

Deputies assisted Lexington PD with an assault reported on Gary Street.

Deputy met with a complainant and issued a criminal trespass warning.

 

10/3/2024 

Complainant reported an open door at their residence on Hwy 290 East. Deputies responded to clear the residence. All okay.

Sheriff and Deputies assisted with funeral escort.

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on FM 2239. One party was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail.

Deputy met with a complainant in regard to fraud. Information taken.

Complainant reported a suspicious male subject driving a silver Toyota car on CR 127. Deputies responded and patrolled the area, however the subject was gone upon arrival.

Male subject surrendered himself at the Lee County Jail from Court. Deputy processed individual into the Lee County Jail.

Deputy responded to investigate a minor one vehicle crash on CR 430. Driver information exchanged with property owner.

Deputy spoke with a complainant who reported a male subject on CR 107 that walks in the road waving at passing motorists.

Complainant reported a suspicious vehicle in a driveway on CR 205. Deputy responded but the vehicle was gone upon arrival.

 

10/4/2024

Deputy issued a criminal trespass warning at 3000 N. Hwy 77.

Dispatch received a report of an 18 wheeler that crashed on Hwy 290 East near the Fayette County line. Crash report taken by DPS.

Deputy and Trooper assisted a motorist with a blown out tire on SH 21.

Sheriff checked on a report of an oversized load that had a tree limb on top of the trailer at SH 21/FM 1624.

Motorist reported a reckless driver on SH 21. Sergeant located the vehicle at a convenience store in Old Dime Box and reported that all was okay.

Deputies assisted with a minor two vehicle crash at SH 21/CR 440.

Sergeant met with individual in regard to sex offender registry.

Deputy assisted GPD Officer who was out with a wanted subject on multiple warrants.

Complainant reported a suspicious white Buick SUV in their driveway. Deputy located the vehicle, which had left; and made contact with the occupants.

Motorist reported a one vehicle crash on Hwy 290 West. Deputy responded to assist.

Complainant on Hale Street reported an unknown vehicle parked in their driveway. Deputy spoke with the complainant and advised them of their right to have it towed from private property.

Sheriff attended and was present for security at the Lexington High School homecoming football game.

Chief Deputy attended and was present for security at the Dime Box Black Bridge Festival Street Dance.

During a security check, a Sergeant located an open door at a business on CR 223. Attempts to contact the owner were made. No criminal activity detected.

 

10/5/2024

Sheriff and Chief Deputy participated in the Dime Box Black Bridge parade.

Complainant reported a male subject trespassing on their property at Drewry Lane. Deputy located the individual and served him with a criminal trespass warning and advised him to stay away from the property.

Complainant reported a suspicious white male smoking at the Lexington Park. Deputy patrolled the park, however the subject was gone upon arrival.

Another complainant reported this same individual at Hwy 77/FM 696 East. Deputy located and made contact with the individual.

Deputies and GPD Officers assisted Jail Staff with a disturbance in the Lee County Jail.

Deputy checked on a stranded motorist with children on Hwy 290. Male subject was provided a courtesy ride into Giddings and then back to their vehicle.

Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance in the 9000 block of Hwy 77 North. Deputies made contact with the involved parties who were separated for the night. No offense.

Complainant reported several vehicles parked on CR 308, and believes there may have been a crash. Deputy located a vehicle towing another vehicle on CR B. The driver claimed there was a minor crash on FM 696 West. This information was verified by the Deputy. Information report taken.

Deputy responded to FM 1624 to investigate a crash report involving one vehicle vs. deer.

 

10/6/2024

Dispatch received a report of a one vehicle crash on CR 107. Deputies responded to the scene to investigate, and the driver was not on scene. Driver was located at their residence. Report taken with charges pending.

Deputy was flagged down in regard to a male subject in the roadway on CR 107. Deputy located the individual, provided him a courtesy ride home, and advised to stay off the roadway.

Complainant spoke with a Deputy in regard to a terroristic threat. It was determined that the incident occurred in Giddings and the information was referred to GPD.

SO Burleson County requested a welfare check on a motorist that was traveling from Washington County to Travis County. Deputies patrolled the highway, but were unable to locate.

Deputy assisted GPD officer with a request for assistance on a traffic stop at 1200 E. Austin St.

Motorist reported a reckless driver on Hwy 290 West. Deputy located the vehicle and made a traffic stop.

Deputy spoke with a complainant in regard to a property dispute. Information taken.

Sergeant responded to a domestic disturbance at 3200 block of SH 21. The parties were separated and one subject was provided a courtesy ride from the scene.

Sergeant conducted a sex offender registry at the sheriff's office.

Deputies responded to an address on CR 108 in regard to a crisis intervention call. Deputies made contact with the individual and awaited for the arrival of family to assist.

Deputy responded to the 5600 block of Hwy 290 East in regard to a suspicious tan Chevy parked in the driveway. Deputy located and made contact with a male subject who stated he was there to convince his ex to leave. Deputies made contact with the other party who wanted the male subject to leave. Deputy advised the male to leave.

 

Deputies made 74 traffic stops, 39 security checks, and responded to 27 animal complaints for this reporting period.
