9/2/2024
Deputy responded to a convenience store on East Austin Street to assist a motorist with a vehicle unlock.
Deputies responded to a crisis intervention call on Giddings Street. The involved party was located by Deputies and determined to be safe.
Caller reported a one vehicle minor crash on FM 180. Deputies, Giddings Fire, and Lee County EMS responded to the scene. DPS Trooper took the crash report.
Caller reported a female sitting in a chair on the side of Hwy 77 North. Deputy made contact with the individual, who refused a courtesy ride.
Deputy conducted a requested welfare check of a resident. Deputy made contact with the individual and made a follow up contact with another agency.
Complainant reported that their ex-spouse came to their residence and cut off the electricity. Deputy responded to investigate and make offense report.
Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance at a residence on CR 107. A male subject was served a Criminal Trespass Warning.
9/3/2024
Deputy located an abandoned vehicle at Hwy 77/CR 114. A rotation wrecker was summoned to tow the gray Toyota pickup.
Deputies met with parties involved in a neighbor dispute in the 4100 Block of East Austin Street.
Complainant met with a Deputy at the sheriff's office in regard to suspected credit card fraud. Report taken.
Complainant reported a trailer full of trash abandoned at the dead end of Sherill Lane. Deputy arrived in the area and noted that the trailer was no longer there.
Complainant came to the sheriff's office to report trespassing on CR 211. Deputy met with the parties involved and issued a Criminal Trespass Warning.
Caller reported that a semi-truck/trailer attempted to make a U-turn on FM 448 and high-centered, blocking all of FM 448. Sheriff and Deputies arrived on scene to conduct traffic control until the vehicle was removed and the roadway was cleared. Citation was issued to the driver.
Motorist reported a juvenile walking on CR 322 that had asked for a ride. Caller further reported that the juvenile got into a white truck shortly thereafter. A responding Deputy located and stopped the white truck to investigate. The juvenile was found to be safe and was released to their family member.
Deputy conducted a requested welfare check on an individual on CR 211. All okay.
Deputy assisted Giddings PD with a report of a suspicious male who was refused service at a motel but tried to enter a room anyway. Deputy patrolled the area, but the subject had fled the scene on Hwy 290 in a black SUV.
9/4/2024
Deputy responded to a civil dispute at 5600 Block of Hwy 290 East.
Complainant reported a female sleeping on a bench at a business in Lexington on Hwy 77 North. Deputy responded and made contact with the individual who was escorted off the property.
Deputy transported Lee County Jail inmate to Huntsville TDC.
Deputy and Sergeant Investigator responded to property on CR 104 for a copper wire theft investigation. Report taken.
Sheriff, Deputies, and Giddings PD responded to a disturbance at the Lee County District Clerk's office. The investigation was worked by Giddings Police Officers.
Complainant reported that trees were cut on their property without authorization on FM 696 West. Deputy collected information from the complainant for a report.
Deputy responded to Westwood Lane to meet with a complainant in regard to trespassing. A criminal trespass warning was served.
Sergeant spoke with a complainant in regard to an Emergency Protective Order.
SO Williamson County requested Lee County Deputies respond to assist with a gunshot victim at an address in Williamson County. SO Williamson County called back to disregard LCSO.
Deputy took a report of a dog bite from an address on Sherill Lane.
9/5/2024
Deputy met with a complainant at the sheriff's office in regard to a protective order.
Deputy checked on a motorist parked at a business on Hwy 77 in Lexington. The driver was okay and was leaving shortly.
Complainant reported a domestic disturbance at a residence on Rockdale Street. Deputies responded to investigate, and one individual was transported to Lee County Jail.
Caller reported suspicious activity on CR 118 at the railroad. Deputy arrived in the area; however, the black sedan was gone upon arrival.
Deputy investigated an animal cruelty call on CR 116. Deputies made contact with a family member of the owner.
Complainant reported a suspicious white Dodge pickup parked on CR 209. Deputy responded to investigate and determined that the vehicle belonged to a family friend.
9/6/2024
Caller reported suspicious activity at an oil pad site at CR 119/127. Deputy arrived and located the vehicle and determined it was an employee.
Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on Willow Creek Drive. Deputies arrived and determined that the argument was verbal only and parties were separated.
Deputy was enroute to conduct traffic control for the school zone on Brenham Street.
Sheriff, Deputies, and Trooper responded to assist Giddings PD with a combative individual that was being transported to an out-of-county facility for crisis intervention. Deputy transported the individual in a vehicle with a full transport cage.
Constable Precinct 2 advised of a school bus on FM 2239 that had smoke and flame coming from the exhaust. Sheriff, and South Lee County VFD responded to the scene. There were no children on this bus, and it was determined to be a maintenance issue. A wrecker was summoned to tow the bus.
Offender met with Sergeant at the sheriff's office for registry.
9/7/2024
Deputies took a report of a minor crash that occurred. A wrecker was summoned to tow the vehicle.
Complainant reported suspicious activity on FM 141 when someone knocked on their door at 4:30am. Deputies arrived and located a female subject in the area sleeping in a vehicle. The female refused to identify herself to Deputies and was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.
Deputy met with a complainant in regard to an abandoned vehicle on private property.
Property owner called in to report a grass fire on CR 127/CR 119. Deputy, Giddings and Post Oak VFD responded.
Deputies responded to a civil dispute at a residence on CR 311. Deputies met with the parties involved and peace was restored.
Complainant reported an assault at Westwood Lane. Deputy responded to investigate and report.
Deputy responded to a noise complaint at an address on FM 2440.
Deputies responded to FM 141/Yegua bridge for a one vehicle crash.
9/8/2024
Deputies responded to a minor crash on CR 415 West.
State Police with Parks & Wildlife requested Deputy assistance on a traffic stop with an intoxicated female subject. Deputy responded to assist.
Deputy met with a complainant on CR 209 for theft of copper.
Deputies responded to a disturbance on CR 135. Parties came to an agreement.
Motorist reported two vehicles traveling at a high rate of speed on Hwy 290 East traveling westbound. One vehicle was located and stopped by a Deputy.
Caller reported a one vehicle accident on FM 2239. Deputies assisted with accident.
Giddings PD requested assistance with a suspicious vehicle. Deputies checked the area but no vehicle was on the property.
Deputy responded to a welfare check on a resident on FM 448. Contact was made, and all was okay.
