10/21/2024
Deputies responded to a crisis intervention call in the 4100 block of E. Austin St.
Complainant reported two missing cows from an address on CR 329. Report taken.
Deputy responded to 500 block of Rockdale St. to take an information report involving a crash.
Complainant reported a theft at an address on CR 307. Sergeant responded to investigate.
Deputy responded to an address on CR A for follow up investigation.
Deputies, Fire, and EMS responded to a minor crash in the 1900 block of Hwy 77 South.
Complainant met with a Deputy for a fraud report due to fraudulent activity on an account. Report taken.
Deputy responded to assist a Trooper on a traffic stop on Hwy 290 West.
Caller reported an injury from a dog bite in the 1100 block of Phillips St. Incident documented.

Deputy took a report of illegal dumping at the 800 block of Rockdale St.
Deputy responded to Westwood Lane to conduct a requested welfare check. All okay.
Sheriff, Sergeant, Dispatch Supervisor, and Admin. Specialist held a presentation for Red Ribbon Week at St. Paul Serbin.
Complainant met with a Deputy to report harassment. Report taken.
Complainant requested a Deputy to CR 130 for issuance of Criminal Trespass Warnings. Three CTWs served.
10/23/2024
Deputies conducted warrant service at an address on CR 309. One male suspect transported to Lee County Jail.
Deputy responded to a requested welfare check at an address on CR 415. All okay.
Motorist reported a minor one vehicle crash on CR 226. Deputy responded to investigate.
A citizen reported to the Sheriff that he found a suspicious item on the side of CR 208. A Deputy was dispatched and recovered the item which was a small baggie of marihuana. Item booked into evidence for destruction.
Sergeant met with an individual for sex offender registry check-in.
Deputies responded to a residence on FM 141 for a verbal disturbance between two parties. There was no criminal offense and the parties were separated to keep the peace.
Deputy met with a complainant at an address on CR 103 in regard to violation of bond conditions. Report taken.
Deputy responded to CR 308 to investigate a scene where a vehicle caused minor damage to a guardrail. Information taken.
Deputy made a traffic stop on a reported reckless driver on Hwy 290 West. No signs of intoxication, driver warned and released.
Complainant requested a Deputy to an address on PR 5002 for property damage. Deputy responded to investigate and issued a CTW.
Deputy responded to a minor crash involving a vehicle vs. deer on CR 440.
Deputies responded to a reported disturbance at an address on CR E. No crime was committed and the parties were separated to keep the peace.
10/24/2024
Deputy responded to the 1700 block of Hwy 77 North to check on an abandoned vehicle. The next rotation wrecker was requested to tow the vehicle.
Deputy, Fire, and EMS responded to a minor one vehicle crash on SH 21 West.
Complainant met with a Deputy to report harassment. Report taken.
Complainant called to speak with a Deputy to report a past assault. Report taken.
Caller reported a juvenile operating an ATV on a public road without a helmet. Deputy patrolled Meadow Run but did not locate the ATV.
Deputies, Fire, and DPS responded to a crash on FM 180/CR 133.
Sergeant met with an individual for sex offender registry check-in.
Motorist requested assistance with a vehicle unlock in the 8900 block of Hwy 77 North. Deputy responded to assist.
OnStar contacted Lee County Dispatch to request a welfare check on a stranded motorist on CR 440. Deputy responded to assist the motorist.
Sergeant met with an individual for sex offender registry check-in.
Deputy on patrol at 2:02am, stopped to check on a suspicious vehicle in the 7700 block of Hwy 77 North. All okay.
Deputy conducted a traffic stop on FM 180/CR 125 at 3:00am and conducted a consent search. The driver was cited for failure to maintain insurance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and open container. A wrecker was summoned to tow the vehicle and the driver was released.

Deputy called to speak with a citizen in regard to a crisis intervention.
Deputy conducted a traffic stop on E. Industry St. and found that the driver had a warrant out for his arrest from Pardon & Parole. One subject arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.
Deputies assisted with funeral escort in Lexington.
Deputy conducted a follow up investigation with a complainant on CR B in regard to a prior theft case.
Deputy spoke to a complainant in regard to a reckless driver on FM 448. Information taken.
Deputy assisted a stranded motorist with a vehicle unlock.
Sheriff, Dispatchers, Deputies, and Jailers hosted the LCSO Trunk or Treat at the Sheriff's Office and enjoyed great participation from our youth.
Complainant reported a theft at a residence on 3rd Street. Deputy responded to investigate and determined to be a civil matter.
Complainant requested a Deputy to report a stolen vehicle at an address on FM 2440. Deputy arrived and determined the matter was civil. One CTW served.
Caller reported suspicious activity at an address on 9th Street as it was noticed the ship light was on, then turned off. Deputy responded to the scene and searched the building with no sign of criminal activity.
Deputy assisted Giddings PD with two subjects who were fighting in the 300 block of East Hempstead Street at 3:49am.
10/26/2024
Deputies assisted with funeral escort in Giddings.
Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a motorcycle on Hwy 290 West for a speeding violation. The suspect failed to yield to the emergency vehicle and a high speed pursuit ensued into Bastrop County. Bastrop County Sheriff's Office and Texas DPS Trooper assisted in stopping the motorcycle in McDade on Highway 290. The motorcycle was impounded and the suspect was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail.
Deputy responded to a civil matter at an address on CR 200.
Deputy met with a complainant to take a harassment report.
Deputies assisted GPD and GVFD with cattle hauler truck fire on W. Austin Street.
Lee County Dispatch received report of a disturbance with weapons involved at 2900 block of Hwy 77 North. Deputies arrived on scene and determined that a fight lead to a stabbing and both parties fled the scene prior to arrival. Case under further investigation at this time.
10/27/2024
Deputy assisted DPS Trooper with traffic stop in the 2300 block of E. Austin St.
Deputy responded to report of minor crash involving motorcycle at FM 112/FM 696 split.
Lee County Dispatch received multiple reports of a single vehicle rollover crash in the 1700 block of SH 21. Deputies, DPS, Fire, and EMS responded to the scene.
Complainant reported a noise complaint on CR A where gunshots were fired. Deputy made contact with the reporting party.
Deputy assisted a stranded motorist with a vehicle unlock on FM 141.
Deputies responded to an inquest at an address on CR 305.
Caller requested a welfare check on CR 118. Deputy responded and all was okay.
BURN BAN IN EFFECT. Citations will be issued in accordance with the Lee County Prohibition of Outdoor Burning Order. We encourage motorists to be extra cautious with all of the extra foot traffic in our communities on Halloween.
Deputies made 98 traffic stops, 37 close patrols, and responded to 19 loose livestock calls this reporting period.
