11/25/2024

Deputies responded to reported one vehicle crash on FM 696 West just past FM 112. Crash report taken by DPS.

Deputy completed a requested welfare check on CR 404.

Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance at a residence on CR A.

Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance at a residence on CR 114.

Complainant reported a theft of a trailer from a work site on CR 309. Offense report taken.

Deputies responded to a two vehicle crash on Hwy 77 in Lexington.

Caller reported a female walking in the ditch on FM 2239. Deputy located the individual who was waiting for her ride.

Caller reported a suspicious male subject walking door-to-door on Blue Cove. Individual was located.

SO Bastrop County reported a young child walking on FM 2239 near the County Line. Sheriff and Deputies responded and the child was located safe on CR 205. The child was turned over to the parents and BCSO for further.

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle on CR 118. Deputy responded to patrol the area but was unable to locate.

 

11/26/2024

Caller reported trash overflowing from a dumpster on CR 308. Deputy spoke with the owner who would clean it up.

Sheriff and Deputies responded to a medical call on CR 219. JP Precinct 2 was summoned to the scene for an inquest and subsequent death investigation.

Motorist reported a two vehicle crash on FM 2239. Deputies responded to assist DPS.

Caller reported a male subject sitting in the ditch at FM 448/FM 2239. Deputy made contact with the individual and was given a courtesy ride.

Deputy responded to check welfare of a stranded motorist on Hwy 77 North of Lexington.

Deputies responded to a vehicle vs deer crash on Hwy 77 South.

Deputy assisted motorist with a vehicle unlock on S. Johnson Ave.

Deputy assisted motorist with a vehicle unlock on W. Austin St.

 

11/27/2024

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle on Sherrill Lane that parked and turned the lights off. Sergeant responded to the call however the vehicle was gone upon arrival.

Caller reported a suspicious truck and trailer loading items from a residence on CR 132. Deputy responded and made contact with the individual.

Chief Deputy located a male subject walking on SH 21 in Manheim. Individual was given a courtesy ride.

Caller reported a deer stuck in a hog trap at property on CR 306. Sergeant responded and the deer was released.

Deputy responded to burn ban violation on CR 133.

Deputies and DPS were notified of a minor two vehicle crash on CR 133.  Crash report by DPS.

Deputy assisted a stranded motorist that was blocking the roadway at FM 1624/Hwy 77. Vehicle was pushed off the roadway.

Deputy responded to a vehicle vs deer crash on FM 696 East.

 

11/28/2024

Deputy assisted motorist on Hwy 290 with a tire change.

Deputy provided traffic control for a motorist changing a tire on Hwy 290 East.

Deputy and DPS responded to a vehicle vs deer crash on SH 21 West.

Complainant reported property damage to a fence on CR 117. Deputy responded to investigate.

Deputy took report of a stray goat at property on Hwy 290 West.

Caller reported a fight in progress at a convenience store on SH 21. Deputies responded to investigate.

Sergeant noted that the train was blocking traffic for an extended amount of time on FM 141. Dispatch contacted Union Pacific.

Deputies and GPD officers assisted at the Lee County Jail with a disruptive inmate.

 

11/30/2024

A passing motorist reported a female on the side of Hwy 77 South that stated a man in a Nissan SUV had a gun and was trying to kill her. Deputies and GPD officers arrived on scene and determined that the suspect crashed through a private gate and drove away. Sheriff, Constable Pct. 2, DPS, Game Warden, and more Deputies began a search of the area with drones and the suspect vehicle was located in the woods. Commands were given for the suspect to surrender peacefully, however he refused to comply. Deputy Constable K9 "Rido" approached the passenger side and convinced the suspect to show his hands and surrender, as the suspect was secured from the driver's side. The suspect was transported to the Lee County Jail, then transported to an out-of-county hospital for medical treatment from an underlying issue.

Motorist reported a male subject walking along Hwy 290 West near Hills. Deputy located the individual who stated he was walking to Austin.

Deputies assisted GPD and DPS with a crash on W. Austin St.

Deputy responded to loud music complaint near N. Rockdale/6th Street in Lexington. The volume was lowered.

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on CR 415 West. Two subjects were arrested and secured in the Lee County Jail for Assault Family Violence.

 

12/01/2024

Deputy responded to a burn ban violation in the 800 block of W. Washington Street.

Deputy conducted a motorist assist on Hwy 77 in Lexington.

Deputies and DPS responded to a two vehicle crash on Hwy 290 East. Crash report by DPS.

Complainant requested a Deputy responded to a property on CR 118 for estray livestock.

Deputies responded to a residence on CR 433. The complainant reported the subject he was staying with, had stolen his vehicle. Information taken for report.

Deputies assisted Caldwell Police with a possible intoxicated driver on SH 21/Old Dime Box.
