11/18/2024
Dispatch received a car about a suspicious vehicle on CR 322 occupied by a male subject. Deputy drove the entire county road but did not locate a vehicle or subject matching the descriptions.
Deputies assisted DPS with a one vehicle rollover accident on FM 2239 at CR 209.
Deputy met with a complainant at the Sheriff's Office about Fraud. Information was taken for a report.
Dispatch received a call about a minor accident on Hwy 77 near CR 114. DPS, EMS and Fire responded.
Motorist reported a vehicle that was failing to maintain a single lane of traffic on FM 112 entering the county. Deputy located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
Deputies responded to Deer Valley Drive for a juvenile call.
11/19/2024
Deputy assisted with the escort of a house being moved from CR 326.
A female subject advised she escaped from a residence and did not know where she was. Sheriff, Chief, Captain, Sergeant and Deputies responded to the call and were able to locate the subject near CR 212.
Complainant reported animal cruelty on CR 302. Deputy made contact with individuals about the animals and was provided information.
Dispatch received a call about an attempted break in. The caller stated that someone tried to break in their residence on CR 424 the previous night. Deputy made contact with the caller.
Sergeant was dispatched to CR 312 to meet with a complainant about suspicious activity. Information was taken for a report.
Deputy responded to a call about criminal mischief on CR 425. A close patrol was placed on the location.
Deputy advised he was out with a burn ban violation on Bowers Ave in Dime Box. Fire was put out.
11/20/2024
Deputy checked on a suspicious vehicle on CR 109. Occupant stated they were waiting on their boss.
Complainant came to the Sheriff's Office to speak with a Deputy about a CTW.
Sergeant spoke with a complainant about his cow being on the neighbor's property. The neighbor agreed to check his property for the cow.
Deputies responded to a disturbance on CR 302. Disturbance was verbal only.
Deputies assisted with an accident on FM 3403.
11/21/2024
Motorist reported she hit a deer on FM 696 near CR 337. Vehicle was disabled. Deputy gave the driver a courtesy ride, and vehicle was removed safely off the roadway.
CID Sergeant conducted a follow up on an open case.
Deputy assisted with traffic during pick up at Dime Box ISD.
Caller reported a reckless driver speeding thru the school zone in Lexington and going into oncoming traffic. Deputy located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
11/22/2024
Motorist reported a reckless driver on Hwy 21 traveling westbound. The vehicle was failing to maintain a single lane of traffic. Deputy located the vehicle, and conducted a traffic stop.
Deputy assisted with semi-truck blocking a lane of traffic on Hwy 21 West while a wrecker removed it from the roadway.
Complainant reported that they are building a new fence on their property but someone keeps knocking it down. Deputy met with the complainant to take information.
Deputies responded to an RV park in Lexington for a disturbance. One subject was arrested and transported to Jail for Criminal Mischief.
Deputies assisted with an accident on FM 1697 and CR 127.
Dispatch received a report of two vehicles racing up and down CR 133. Deputies checked the area but did not find any vehicles racing.
11/23/2024
Deputy stopped out with a reckless driver on FM 696. Driver was distracted by young child in vehicle.
Dispatch received a call about possible drag racing in the area of CR 309 and CR A. Deputy checked the area but did not locate any vehicles racing.
Caller requested a welfare check on a friend. Deputy attempted to make contact at their residence but no one answered. Attempt to call the subject but voicemail was left to contact the Sheriff's Office.
Deputy responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle parked at the end of their driveway on a private road on Hwy 290. The drive was waiting on their boss.
Deputies assisted with shutting down streets for the Lighted Christmas Parade in Giddings.
Dispatch received a call about a burn ban violation on CR 117. Deputy responded and advised the subject to distinguish the fire due to the burn ban still being in effect.
Deputy assisted DPS with a traffic stop. Two individuals were arrested and transported to Jail for booking.
11/24/2024
Complainant advised of mailbox damage on PR 8010. Subject who did the damage will be taking care of repairs.
Sergeant assisted Giddings PD with a disturbance on Middle School Road.
Sergeant and Deputy responded to a hit and run accident at Tex Villa Apartments.
Dispatch received a call for a welfare check at a residence on CR F. Sergeant spoke with the subject, who advised everything is fine.
Deputies responded to an inquest on CR 306.
Deputies responded to a call on CR 332 for a man with a gun. One subject was taken into custody and transported to the Jail for booking.
Dispatch received a call about a disturbance at an address on CR 103.
Deputies responded and parties were separated.
For this reporting period, Deputies made 99 traffic stops, 33 security patrols, and 17 loose livestock calls.
