11/11/2024
Caller reported an unknown person walking outside their residence with a flashlight on FM 141. Deputy responded to check the area and did not locate any suspicious persons.
Deputy responded to a minor crash on FM 696 involving a vehicle vs. deer.
Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance at a residence on CR 309. Parties separated.
Sheriff met with a complainant at the sheriff's office in regard to fraudulent credit card purchases.
Deputy and Justice of the Peace responded to an inquest on Hwy 77 North.
Lee County Dispatch received a 911 hang up call from an address on Cherry Dr. Responding Deputies made contact with residents in the area to ensure all was okay.
Deputy assisted stranded motorist with a courtesy ride from Manheim Rd into Giddings.
Deputy conducted a requested welfare check at a residence on CR 108.
11/12/2024
Deputy assisted a stranded motorist with a courtesy ride from FM 2239 into Giddings.
Caller reported a robbery from a victim at the Classic Bank ATM. Lee County Dispatch broadcast the information on the four suspects and their getaway vehicle. Sheriff located the vehicle at Hempstead/Sandridge and began pursuing the suspects. Deputies, Officers, and Troopers joined in the pursuit, which eventually ended at Hwy 290/James Turman Rd. All four suspects were taken into custody and secured in the Lee County Jail.
Deputy met with a complainant on CR 442 and a criminal trespass warning was issued to another party.
Deputy responded to the 2400 block of SH 21 to assist a stranded motorist.
Deputies responded to a disturbance on CR 133. One subject transported by EMS and an offense report was taken.
Caller reported an adult female with two male juveniles arguing outside of a business in Lexington. Deputy responded to the location but the parties were gone upon arrival.
11/13/2024
Deputy responded to CR 309 and warned truck drivers against parking on the roadway.
Deputy and SLCVFD responded to a burn ban violation on CR 205.
Deputy responded to Calvert Street for a vehicle unlock where a child was in the vehicle. The caller called back to cancel as the child was able to unlock the door.
Deputy responded to Cactus Street to perform a vehicle unlock.
Complainant reported a theft of property from N. Rockdale Street. Deputy responded to investigate.
Deputy spoke with a complainant on CR 309 in regard to possible harassment.
Complainant requested to speak with a Deputy in regard to a domestic situation. Information taken.
Deputy responded to Westwood Lane to conduct a requested welfare check.
Deputy responded to CR 226 to assist a motorist with a vehicle unlock.
Complainant met with a Deputy at the sheriff's office to report a scam phone call. The scammer cursed at and told the person to pull over claiming they were with law enforcement. Information taken.
Deputy conducted close patrols of CR 309 to ensure there were no traffic hazards.
Complainant reported criminal mischief on CR 425. Deputy responded to investigate.
Motorist reported a reckless driver on Hwy 77 North after 2:00am. Sergeant located the vehicle and made a traffic stop. Upon further investigation the driver was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail.
11/14/2024
Motorist requested a welfare check on a female carrying a young child on FM 112. Courtesy ride was provided.
Deputy responded to Probation Office to arrest an individual with an outstanding warrant. Subject was booked into the Lee County Jail.
Complainant reported illegal dumping at an oilfield site off of CR 138. Deputy responded to investigate.
Deputies responded to conduct a welfare check on an individual on Blaha Avenue.
Complainant reported that their vehicle alarm was set off and requested a Deputy. Deputy responded to check the area but did not locate anyone.
11/15/2024
Caller reported a semi-truck on fire at the fuel pumps in the 8900 block of Hwy 77 North.
Deputy responded to CR 137 on a report of animal cruelty.
Deputies conducted felony warrant service on PR 7044. One subject arrested and secured in the Lee County Jail.
Motorists reported debris on Hwy 290 West across from the Fireman's Park. Captain responded and met with the owner of the company in regard to the debris in the roadway.
Deputies responded to the 9100 block of Hwy 77 North in regard to a missing child. Deputies were cancelled shortly after the child was located at the residence.
Sheriff and Deputies assisted with Lexington HS volleyball team escort.
Deputy stopped out with a motorist that was involved in a minor crash vs. deer on Hwy 77 North.
Sergeant observed a juvenile operating an ATV on the road in Dime Box. Warning issued.
Deputies and Dime Box VFD responded to a minor crash on SH 21.
Caller reported suspicious activity at a residence on CR 316. Deputies responded to patrol the area but did not locate anyone.
Caller reported several shots fired from a truck on CR 309. Deputies were already in the area from the previous call but did not locate any such activity.
11/16/2024
Alarm company alerted Dispatch of burglary alarm at a business on Hwy 77 in Lexington. Deputy arrived and met with the keyholder. No offense.
Deputies responded to a reported disturbance on CR 450. Information taken.
Complainant requested Deputies to property on FM 3403 for trespassing and shots fired. Deputies responded but did not locate any trespassers.
Deputy responded to a crisis intervention call at an address on Blaha Avenue.
Sergeant met with an individual for sex offender registry check-in requirement.
Complainant requested a Deputy to the apartment complex on Westwood Lane for loud music. Deputies made location and the music was turned down.
Deputy stopped out with two suspicious vehicles on CR 316 near CR 309. Subjects were identified and released.
Complainant reported loud noise in the area of North Rockdale/5th Street. Deputy patrolled the area after midnight but did not locate a source.
Sheriff responded to an address on CR 103 at 1:00am to conduct a welfare check.
11/17/2024
Deputies assisted with an accident involving a semi-truck in the 3200 block of Hwy 21.
Motorist reported debris all over the roadway on Hwy 290 West near CR 200. Deputy removed debris from roadway and assisted one motorist with a flat tire.
Deputy assisted motorist at CR 426 and CR 424. Followed motorist home to make sure no more problems persisted.
Deputies assisted Giddings PD with accident at FM 141 and Independence Street.
For this reporting period, Deputies made 39 traffic stops, 41 security patrols, and 12 loose livestock calls.
