March 3, 2025
Deputy assisted a citizen with a vehicle unlock on CR 306.
Deputy conducted a requested welfare check on PR 2906.
Sergeant responded to an animal complaint on Stephen F. Austin Blvd. Sergeant located dog that was killing the reporting parties chickens. The dog resisted transport and ran off after receiving dose of pepper spray. Information report.
Deputy conducted a theft investigation at a residence on CR 430. The complainant reported that US currency was stolen by unknown suspect/s. Offense report made.
Deputy responded to Westwood Lane for a theft investigation. Offense report made.
Sergeant met with an offender for sex offender registry requirement.
Deputy responded to a residence on CR 230 for a theft investigation. Complainant reported numerous items stolen. Offense report made.
Deputy took a fraud report from a complainant on FM 696 West. Complainant reported funds were stolen from a bank account. Offense report made.
Complainant reported a suspicious white van parked near a residence on CR 122. Deputy responded to the area but the vehicle was gone upon arrival. Close patrol in effect.
Deputy cited a speeding driver 93/75 mph zone on Hwy 77 North.
Deputies, GPD, and DPS responded to a domestic disturbance in the 5600 block of E. Austin St.
March 4, 2025
Male subject with local felony warrant surrendered himself at the sheriff's office. Deputy booked the individual into the Lee County Jail.
Sergeant met with two offenders for sex offender registry requirement.
Deputy investigated a one vehicle minor crash that occurred in the 1300 block of SH 21 East.
Deputy assisted auto theft task force with a stolen vehicle on CR 318.
Deputy cited a speeding driver 92/75 mph zone at Hwy 77/CR 135.
March 5, 2025
Deputy responded to Westwood Lane for a criminal trespass. Information taken for report.
All LCSO units assisted GPD and DPS with lockdown drills at GISD campuses.
Sheriff received multiple reports of semi-truck traffic speeding on FM 112 and Rockdale St. in Lexington. Deputies patrolled the roads for violations.
Deputies assisted DPS with a pursuit on Hwy 290 West that ended in Bastrop County.
Deputy met with a complainant in the lobby to take report of missing/stolen livestock from property on CR 441. Report made.
Sergeant investigated a livestock matter on CR 337, where a bull crossed the fence and injured another animal belonging to the neighbor. Report made.
Sergeant initiated a traffic stop on FM 696/CR 305. A consent search resulted in the recovery of methamphetamine and the driver was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail for Possession of Controlled Substance.
March 6, 2025
Deputy responded to CR 306 for a civil matter.
Deputy and CID Sergeant followed up on previously reported burglary of a vehicle in Lexington.
Sheriff received multiple reports of semi-truck traffic speeding on FM 112 and Rockdale St. in Lexington. Sheriff and Deputies patrolled the roads for violations.
Sheriff, Deputies, Constable Pct. 2, Lincoln VFD, and LCEMS responded to a major crash at the intersection of SH 21/FM 1624 in Lincoln.
Deputy met with a complainant on CR 432 in regard to a dog bite investigation.
Deputy reported his patrol vehicle was backed into by a school bus in parking lot north of Lexington. DPS was summoned to the scene to make a report. No injuries reported.
Complainant reported damage to a gate lock on CR 127. Deputy responded to investigate.
Deputy and CID Sergeant followed up on a previously reported burglary of a vehicle in Lexington.
Deputy patrolled LISD baseball parking lot for security check during a baseball game due to recent burglaries.
Deputies and DPS responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 800 block of 3rd Street in Lexington. Deputies met with all parties and took report of broken windows, however the homeowner declined to pursue criminal charges. Information report.
Deputy initiated a traffic stop on North Ave. A probable cause search resulted in the recovery of methamphetamines. The driver was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail for Possession of Controlled Substance.
Deputies responded to investigate a one vehicle crash with property damage on FM 696 West. The driver of the vehicle was issued a citation.
March 7, 2025
Deputy issued two citations to speeding drivers in the LISD school zone on Hwy 77.
Sergeant followed bus route for Dime Box ISD.
Deputy assisted LCEMS with a patient at a residence on CR 127.
Deputy issued a citation to a speeding driver for 91/70 mph zone on SH 21.
Deputy met with a complainant in the lobby to investigate and make report for fraud.
Complainant reported a burglary of a habitation on Giddings Street. Deputy responded to investigate and make offense report.
Deputy followed up on a previous report of a vehicle passing a school bus on Old Nails Creek Road. The vehicle and driver were tracked down and a citation was issued for Failure to Yield for School Bus.
Deputy responded to CR 209 on a report of criminal trespass. One male subject was served with a Criminal Trespass Notice.
Sergeant followed afternoon bus route for DBISD.
Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Blaha Avenue. One male subject was located, arrested, and transported to Lee County Jail for Violation of Protective Order.
Deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on CR 119. The driver failed to yield and a pursuit ensued into Burleson County. The driver was arrested after a brief foot pursuit. A vehicle search resulted in the discovery of a substantial amount of narcotics. The driver was booked into the Lee County Jail for evading arrest, possession of marihuana, and manufacture/delivery of controlled substance.
Deputy investigated and took report of a one vehicle crash with property damage on CR 116.
March 8, 2025
Deputies responded to PR 8063 for a disturbance. The parties were separated. No offense.
Deputy responded to a report of loud music on PR 3061.
Deputy issued a citation to a speeding driver for 95/70 mph zone on Hwy 77.
Deputies assisted Giddings Fire with a vehicle fire on Hwy 290 West.
Complainant reported a suspicious vehicle parked and blocking a driveway on CR 402. Sergeant arrived and made contact with the individual. After an investigation, the driver was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail for DWI.
Caller reported a reckless driver on 5th Street in Lexington. Deputy located the vehicle, made a traffic stop, and issued a citation to the driver.
Complainant reported loud music on CR 111. Deputy responded to the report.
Complainant reported loud music on CR 133. Deputy responded to investigate.
March 9, 2025
Complainant called 911 to report a male subject that discharged a firearm in the 8800 block of Hwy 77 in Lexington. As Deputies responded to the scene, the caller reported that the man was sitting on his porch with pistol in hand. Deputies arrived to find the man was inside of his RV. Deputies took tactical positions gave verbal commands for the man to surrender. The man exited his trailer, but did not comply with the Deputies instructions. The suspect received two doses of pepper spray and was arrested without further incident.
Deputies initiated 81 traffic enforcement stops, made 45 security checks, and responded to 24 animal/loose livestock calls.
Lee County Dispatch received a substantial number of false alarm 911 calls this past week. These calls result in responses from law enforcement. Please monitor and educate children that are allowed to play on devices that are no longer in use; as they still have the ability to contact 911.
