6/24/2024

Male subject surrendered himself at the Lee County Jail. Sergeant processed the individual on an active warrant.

Deputy responded to CR 309 in regard to a juvenile matter. Report taken.

Deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence on CR 133. Information taken for report.

Motorist reported a reckless driver in a dark in color SUV on FM 696. Deputy responded and located the vehicle but did not detect and signs of impairment. Driver released.

 

6/25/2024

Citizen reported a horse stuck in a cattle guard on FM 180. Sergeant responded and made contact with the property owner. Horse was removed.

Deputy assisted SO Washington County with a next-of-kin notification at a property in Lee County.

Deputy responded to a residence on FM 1624 to serve a Criminal Trespass Notice on a male subject.

Motorist reported a vehicle vs. deer crash in the 2800 block SH 21 East. Deputies assisted the motorist by providing a courtesy ride to the sheriff's office.

 

6/26/2024 

Deputy assisted a stranded motorist on Hwy 290 West. The tire was replaced, and the motorist was back on their way.

Complainant from FM 619 reported theft of a chainsaw. Deputy responded to investigate and report.

Deputy assisted GPD with a traffic stop at Hwy 290 East/FM 180.

Complainant came to the sheriff's office to report criminal mischief. Deputy met with the individual and a report was taken.

Complainant report animal cruelty involving a dog on N. Main St. in Lincoln. Deputy responded to investigate.

Motorist reported a vehicle partially blocking the roadway on SH 21 East. Deputy responded and summoned a rotation wrecker to remove the vehicle.

 

6/27/2024

Complainant from FM 180 called to report vandalism. Deputy responded to investigate and report. One male subject was issued a Criminal Trespass Notice.

Deputy located a vehicle stalled in the roadway at Hwy 290/CR 226. Vehicle was moved from blocking traffic.

Sergeant met with a complainant who reported a vehicle that struck a dog on Hwy 290 East. Animal was transported to the shelter.

Caller reported an SUV that crashed into a tree at SH 21/CR 440. Deputy, Trooper, Lee County EMS, and Dime Box VFD responded to the scene. Crash report taken by DPS.

Dispatch received a 911 call hang-up at a residence on CR 213. Deputy responded to the scene to investigate. All okay.

6/28/2024

Caller reported a stray mini sheep dog on CR 114. Deputy located the animal and transported it to the animal shelter.

Caller reported an 18-wheeler struck a light pole on FM 141 and kept going. Bluebonnet was contacted. Deputies and Dime Box VFD worked traffic control.

Male subject turned himself in at the Lee County Jail. Deputy processed the individual into jail.

Deputy responded to a business in Giddings on N. Main St. to assist with a vehicle unlock.

Deputies assisted GPD with a male subject who was reported unconscious in a driveway on North Ellis St.

Employee at a convenience store in Old Dime Box reported a suspicious male subject who had been loitering in the store for hours. Deputies responded and the subject left the store.

Caller reported a disabled vehicle on Hwy 290 East. Deputy and Trooper responded to the scene. Wrecker was summoned to remove the vehicle.

Motorist reported a male subject dressed in black clothes walking on SH 21. Sergeant located the individual and provided a courtesy ride.

Deputies responded to a residence on CR 123 for a crisis intervention. One individual was transported to an out-of-county facility for treatment.

At 3:30am, a citizen reported two males and one female subject around the neighbor's vehicles. The caller confronted them, and they ran off. Deputy responded to the location; but the subjects were gone upon arrival.

 

6/29/2024 

Deputy spoke with a complainant in regard to a civil matter.

SO Bastrop County reported a rolling disturbance entering Lee County on Hwy 290 West. Sergeant located the vehicle at a convenience store in Giddings. A female subject was provided a courtesy ride.

Motorist reported a female subject walking in the roadway on FM 141. Sergeant responded and located the individual.

 

6/30/2024

Deputy assisted GPD with translation on a traffic stop.

Caller reported an abandoned vehicle off of CR 138. Deputy responded to investigate. Deputy noted that the vehicle was secure and off the roadway. Deputy made contact with the vehicle owner.

Deputy was approached by a male subject on E. Austin St. LCEMS was summoned for the individual, however he changed his mind, and the incident was handled by GPD.

Complainant reported that an unknown male subject in their barn. Deputies responded to the scene on August Anna Road and located the male subject, who was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail.

Deputies were called to FM 141 on a report of a diesel on the roadway. Dime Box VFD assisted at the scene.

Stranded motorist called the sheriff's office to request assistance. Deputy assisted with traffic control and a tire change.

Deputy checked on a stranded motorist at a store in Old Dime Box and assisted with a tire change.

Motorist reported a single vehicle crash on CR 309. Deputy, Trooper, and a rotation wrecker responded to the scene. Crash report by DPS.

 

 

There will plenty of July 4th events to attend and support this week. I hope that everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July.
