6/10/2024
Deputy met with complainant at the office in regard to a theft investigation. Report made.
Dispatch received report of septic tank fire. Deputy responded with Giddings Fire. The fire was extinguished.
Deputy assisted stranded motorist on FM 696 West with a courtesy ride after they ran out of fuel.
6/11/2024
Texas DPS Roadside Assistance Hotline contacted Dispatch to report a stranded motorist on SH 21 at the Burleson County line with a flat tire. Sergeant and Deputy responded and assisted with tire change.
Motorist reported fire and smoke coming from the top of an 18-wheeler that was northbound on Hwy 77. Deputies located the truck in Lexington with flame visible from the stacks. The truck was moved off the roadway and the driver was issued a citation.
Motorist reported an 18-wheeler at Hwy 77/CR 415 in Tanglewood with smoke coming from the hood. Tanglewood VFD and a Deputy responded to the scene.
SO Williamson County requested a welfare check on an individual. Deputy made contact with the subject.
6/12/2024
Sergeant responded to a requested welfare check at a residence on FM 141.
Motorist reported a one vehicle crash in the 3100 block of Hwy 77 South. Deputy, Trooper, Giddings Fire, and LCEMS responded to the scene.
Motorist reported a crash in the 5100 block of SH 21 East with occupants pinned in and injuries. Deputies, Trooper, Dime Box VFD, Giddings VFD, and LCEMS responded to the scene.
Deputies conducted warrant service at a residence on CR 103. One male subject was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail without incident.
Motorist on CR 105 reported that they were ran off the road by another vehicle. Sergeant responded to investigate and make report.
Caller reported a white Dodge driving up and down CR 308/311 stopping the driveways. Deputy responded to the area; however, the vehicle was gone upon arrival.
6/13/2024
Complainant from CR 133 reported a terroristic threat. Sergeant responded to investigate and make report.
Deputies assisted Giddings PD with a funeral escort.
Deputy and Constable Pct. 2 responded to a verbal disturbance at a residence on CR 216. Parties separated, no offense.
Sergeant drove up on a minor crash on E. Austin St. Giddings PD was notified.
Deputy, Lexington PD Officer, and Constable Pct. 3 conducted warrant service at the residence in the 8800 block of Hwy 77 North. One male subject was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.
Caller reported a suspicious black male subject riding a motorcycle in circles on CR 418. Deputies responded to the area; however, the subject was gone upon arrival.
Deputies responded to FM 141 on a juvenile complaint. Juvenile was located and returned to guardian.
6/14/2024
Motorist called 911 to report a white SUV driving reckless on Hwy 77 South. Dispatch received another 911 call reporting the same vehicle. Deputy located the vehicle, and the driver was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.
Citizen reported a suspicious white Dodge pickup parked on CR 425. Sergeant responded and located the vehicle, which was determined to belong to a surveying company.
Citizen reported a snake on her window at CR 308. Deputy responded to remove the snake.
Complainant spoke with a Deputy in regard to theft. During a yard sale, two suspects stole equipment from a shed. Deputy investigated and information was gathered for a report.
LCEMS reported a vehicle stalled in the roadway on Hwy 77 South/Fayette County line. EMS was able to push the vehicle off the roadway. Deputy made location and determined that the motorist ran out of fuel and had a friend on the way.
Dispatch received report of a white Cadillac driving reckless on Hwy 290. Other calls were received reporting that this driver had hit another vehicle in Giddings. Deputies and GPD located the vehicle and made a traffic stop. The driver was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.
Sergeant assisted GPD with a person refusing the leave the premises at Juvenile Probation. Upon arrival, the individual agreed to leave.
Complainant from CR 320 reported people leaving his gate open, causing their livestock to roam. Deputy spoke with the caller about the issue.
Dispatch received a report of a disturbance on Westwood Lane. Deputies arrived, but no one reported an offense.
Complainant reported a silver truck crashed thru his neighbor's fence on FM 180. The caller reported that a tractor was pulling the truck out of the property. Deputy and Trooper responded to the scene, where the driver was located, arrested, and transported to Lee County Jail.
Deputies assisted GPD with report of two vehicles racing on W. Richmond St. One subject was detained and transported to the Lee County Jail.
6/15/2024
Motorist reported a gold Cadillac abandoned in the roadway on CR 411. Deputy responded and made contact with the owner, who had someone enroute to move the vehicle. Deputy checked back by, and the vehicle was moved.
Sheriff participated in the annual Juneteenth Parade in Giddings.
Motorist reported a white male walking on Hwy 77 in Lexington. LPD and Deputy located the individual who moved off the roadway.
Complainant reported that a white male was making threats and walking into traffic on Hwy 77 North. Deputies located the individual who attempted to flee on foot but was placed under arrest and transported to Lee County Jail.
Complainant reported loud music in the 4100 block of E. Austin St. Deputy made contact and the volume was lowered.
GPD requested assistance in the 100 block of W. Austin St. One subject was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.
GPD requested assistance with 20 people on E. Hempstead St. at 2:00am. Deputies responded to assist, and one subject was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.
Sergeant reported that the train at FM 141 has been blocking the road for 40 minutes at 5:00am. Union Pacific was notified.
6/16/2024
Motorist reported a black Dodge dually towing a boat driving reckless on Hwy 77 North. Trooper and Deputy located the vehicle near CR 114. Driver released with citation.
Jail Sergeant reported a disturbance between two inmates. Deputy responded to investigate and make report.
Citizen reported a white male walked up to their home and asked for water. Deputy located the individual on FM 2440 and provided a courtesy ride.
Motorist reported a one vehicle crash on SH 21 near FM 3403. Deputies arrived and took a crash report.
Citizen reported a young female walked up to their house on FM 141 stating that she was in a crash. Deputies, and LCEMS responded to find a one vehicle rollover.
