7/8/2024
Caller stated a transformer blew up on FM 141 at CR 426 in Dime Box. Bluebonnet Electric was notified. Deputy assisted with traffic control once the crew made scene.
Dispatch was advised of a tree down blocking the roadway at FM 696 and FM 112. TxDOT was notified.
Deputy transported a stray dog from a residence on CR 133 to the Giddings Animal Shelter.
Complainant met with a Sergeant at the Sheriff's Office for suspicious activity on his property on CR 227.
Sergeant met with complainant at the Sheriff's Office in reference to mail theft.
Deputy assisted Lexington PD with a traffic stop at Giddings Street and Fourth Street.
Caller advised a suspicious person was going through her things on her porch on Bowers Street in Dime Box. Deputy met with caller and a CTW was issued.
Deputies responded to a call about a reckless driver on Hwy 290 traveling westbound in the eastbound lane from Ledbetter to Giddings. Vehicle was not located.
Deputy assisted Giddings PD with a traffic stop on E Austin Street at CR 226.
7/9/2024
Deputy was dispatched to the area of CR 424 and CR 430 for a suspicious person. Unable to locate the subject.
Sergeant met with a subject for a follow up at the Sheriff's Office.
Deputy responded to a call about a suspicious package on Hwy 290 West. All was okay.
Dispatch received a call about a reckless driver on FM 1624. Deputy was unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputy was dispatched to a residence on FM 1624 for a 911 hang up call. All was okay.
A truck and RV were on the side of Hwy 77. Deputy made contact and was advised he was waiting on a friend to help change a flat tire.
Deputies responded to a disturbance on CR 316. Parties were separated.
Deputies assisted Giddings PD with a pursuit after the vehicle evaded from a traffic stop.
7/10/2024
Deputy observed illegal dumping at FM 180 and PR 5002.
Resident on CR 323 requested to speak with a Deputy about someone threatening to harm her animals. Deputy made contact with the resident.
Captain, CID, Deputies and EMS responded to Tex Villa Apartments for a medical emergency. Subject fell off a scissor lift and was transported to the hospital.
Union Pacific report two male subjects throwing rocks at the train and employees on CR 118 at PR 1183. Deputy was unable to locate the subjects.
Deputy was dispatched to property on CR118 for trespassing. A CTW was issued.
SO Williamson County requested a welfare check on a subject on CR 107. Sergeant made contact with subject who was okay.
Sergeant, Deputy and Trooper responded to a residence on CR 316 for a welfare concern. All was okay.
Sergeant was out on a motorist assist on Hwy 21 at FM 1624 when the vehicle caught fire. Deputies, Troopers and Fire responded to the scene as well.
Deputy assisted Giddings PD at Bucees with a subject that would not leave.
Deputies and Sergeant were out with a suspicious vehicle on Hwy 290. One subject was taken into custody and transported to the Jail.
7/11/2024
Deputy checked out with a suspicious vehicle on Hwy 290 at CR 233. Driver was asked to remove the vehicle from the roadway.
Dispatch received a call about a disturbance at a residence on West Austin Street. Captain and Deputies responded. One subject was taken into custody and transported to the Jail.
Motorist reported an abandoned vehicle on CR 219. Deputy located vehicle.
Deputies and Trooper responded to the area of FM 696 and CR 309 for road rage. Units were unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputy checked the area of the 1800 block of Hwy 21 East for a suspicious vehicle but was unable to locate it.
Caller reported he had goats on his property on FM 141 and requested to speak with a Deputy about them. Sergeant made contact with the caller who advised he would try to locate the owner.
Deputy was out with two suspicious vehicles on CR 309. Contact was made, and all was okay.
7/12/2024
Motorist reported a one vehicle accident on Hwy 77 at CR 455. Deputy, Trooper, Lexington PD and EMS responded to the call.
Dispatch received a call about a possible hit and run accident on Hwy 290 near CR 234. Deputies checked the area for both vehicles involved but were unable to locate them.
Property owner on CR 113 advised that his gate was left open, and a suspicious vehicle went on the property. The vehicle had left but he requested that a Deputy go by and secure the property. Deputy responded and secured the property.
Deputy met with a complainant about his options for stray dogs coming on to his property.
Deputies were dispatched to a business on Hwy 77 North for several unwanted subjects on the property.
Caller requested a welfare check on an individual on CR 306. Captain made contact with the subject, who advised she was okay.
Deputy checked out with a suspicious vehicle on FM 180 near CR 130. Subject worked for the oil company.
7/13/2024
Motorist reported that he was hauling hay bales down FM 141 when the straps broke. He requested assistance with traffic control to remove the bales from the roadway. Deputy responded and assisted.
Deputy assisted with a vehicle unlock at Bubba's Truck Stop in Dime Box.
Deputy assisted with traffic control in the 3700 block of Hwy 21 East while a stalled vehicle was removed from the roadway.
Motorist advised of three vehicles traveling at high rate of speed on Hwy 290 passing FM 180. Deputy located the vehicles and observed no traffic violations.
Dispatch received a noise complaint on CR 311. Deputy located the loud music and advised the subjects to turn it down.
Deputies assisted DPS with a fatality accident on Hwy 77 South near CR 223.
Deputy was out with a stranded motorist on Hwy 290 near CR 200. Driver stated he had help on the way.
7/14/2024
Deputies conducted a civil standby on CR 118.
Commissioner requested Deputies on CR 205 and CR 207 for illegal dumping.
Deputies responded to a call on CR 307. All was okay.
Deputy was out in the 6300 block of Hwy 77 North for debris in the roadway. Roadway was cleared.
Caller stated that his ex-wife was at his residence on PR 7016 causing problems. Subject had left the scene. Deputies checked the area for the subject but were unable to locate her.
Deputies responded to a total of 17 calls for loose livestock this reporting period.
