Feb 17, 2025
Deputy took report of a minor crash on FM 2440 involving a vehicle vs. animal.
Deputy responded to CR B in regard to criminal mischief. Complainant reported that road markers were damaged. Pct. 3 Commissioner notified.
Deputy conducted a security check at Dime Box ISD on an open gate.
Deputies assisted with traffic control at the scene of a major crash where an 18 wheeler rolled over on Hwy 77 South.
Deputy responded to assist with an inquest at a residence on CR 316. Justice of the Peace Pct. 3 summoned to the scene.
FEB 18, 2025
Sergeant Investigator traveled to Austin County to conduct warrant service on a male subject wanted on a Lee County criminal case. Male subject located, arrested, and secured in Lee County Jail.
While on patrol, a Deputy located a one year old and a five year old near the roadway on SH 21. Deputies were unable to locate the parent/guardians in the area and the children were taken to the sheriff's office where they were fed and changed. The mother was located and a joint investigation was conducted with child protective services. Deputies took the mother into custody for child abandonment and the children were released to CPS for care.
Male subject was arrested at District Court and secured in Lee County Jail.
Motorist reported debris on CR 216. Deputy responded to remove tree limbs from roadway.
FEB 19, 2025
Deputy took information for an animal cruelty report on CR 326.
Sergeant Investigators executed a search warrant on a vehicle from a previous burglary case.
Deputy responded to requested welfare check on CR E.
Deputy responded to requested welfare check on FM 141.
Deputy checked on a suspicious vehicle parked at a business at Hwy 77/FM 696 after midnight. The driver had stopped to rest.
FEB 20, 2025
Deputies responded to assist Lexington VFD and Lee County EMS with a fully-involved structure fire on Giddings Street in Lexington.
Sergeant responded to suspicious activity call on CR 306. Deputies located the party that was knocking on the door at the wrong residence.
Sergeant conducted a 68-A inspection at the Sheriff's Office.
Deputy assisted a citizen with a vehicle unlock on Hwy 290 East.
Caller reported suspicious activity on CR 405. Deputy confirmed that the subjects in the area were with a legitimate roofing company.
Deputy responded to PR 1806 on a report of criminal mischief. Complainant reported two mailboxes were taken. Theft investigation underway.
Deputy assisted a stranded motorist on Hwy 77 North. Deputy was able to push the vehicle off the roadway to a safe location for the motorist to await their mechanical assistance.
Deputies assisted Jail Staff with violent inmate.
Dispatch received report of a disturbance involving two persons on Shady Oaks Street after 11:00pm. GPD and Troopers arrived on scene until a Deputy could arrive. One male subject was arrested for public intoxication and secured in Lee County Jail.
Deputy checked on a suspicious vehicle parked at a business on Hwy 77 in Lexington. The driver had stopped to take a break.
FEB 21, 2025
Deputy took information for an assault report.
Deputy responded to a requested welfare check on CR 201.
Sergeant followed afternoon school bus route for Dime Box ISD.
Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a violator on Hwy 77 North for failing to yield for a school bus. Citation issued.
Deputy met with complainant in regard to possible trespassing on PR 2091.
Deputy initiated a traffic stop on FM 112 and issued a citation for speeding 80/50 mph zone.
Deputy assisted with a civil stand-by at a business on FM 448.
Complainant report loud music on CR 306. Deputy made contact with the source and the volume was reduced.
Deputy assisted a citizen with a vehicle unlock on Hwy 290 East.
Deputies assisted Jail Staff with a non-compliant inmate.
Deputy initiated a traffic stop on SH 21 and issued a citation for speeding 97/70 mph zone.
Complainant reported being a victim of a scam. Deputy took report for fraud investigation.
Deputy assisted GPD with crash on Hwy 290 East/CR 226.
FEB 22, 2025
Deputy took information for a minor crash in a business parking lot in Lexington.
Deputy assisted a motorist with a vehicle unlock on CR 346.
Deputy met with a complainant at the sheriff's office to take a report of a dog bite.
Caller reported a suspicious female walking on FM 2239. Deputies patrolled the area but were unable to locate the female subject.
Deputies conducted follow-up investigation on a previously reported burglary on FM 3403.
Deputy responded to an address on Inge Street for a civil stand-by.
Deputy assisted with traffic control for a stranded motorist on FM 1697 until a wrecker could arrive.
Complainant reported animal cruelty case on CR 440. Sergeant responded to investigate and found the horse to have feed, water, and shelter. The owner was transporting the horse to the Veterinarian.
Deputy assisted a citizen with a vehicle unlock on North Joekel Street.
Deputies responded to a disturbance at an address on CR 430. Deputies responded to make contact with the involved parties. Case remains under investigation.
Caller reported a disturbance at a business on CR 217. Two male subjects were arrested for public intoxication and secured in Lee County Jail.
Motorist reported a one vehicle crash on Hwy 77 South. Deputies, Giddings Fire, and Lee County EMS arrived at the scene. The driver refused medical treatment and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. The female suspect was transported to an out-of-county medical facility for treatment, prior to being booked into Lee County Jail.
Caller reported a disturbance at Westwood Lane at midnight. Deputies arrived to investigate, but the involved parties were gone upon arrival.
FEB 23, 2025
Deputies were dispatched to Westwood Lane for a possible Theft. After speaking with all parties involved, it was determined no offense occurred.
SO Bastrop County advised complainant on CR 302 wanted to report ID Theft. The complainant stated ex-husband was using her personal information. Deputy spoke with complainant and referred her to JP court.
Deputies responded to a disturbance on Westwood Lane. Parties were separated.
Caller reported a group of people on horseback blocking traffic on FM 3403. Deputy spoke with individuals and advised them to stay off the roadway.
Complainant came to the Sheriff's Office to report her license plates were stolen off her vehicle. Report was taken.
Deputy was dispatched to CR 324 to meet with a complainant about a Criminal Trespass Warning. A warning was issued.
Deputies initiated 64 traffic enforcement stops, made 66 security checks, and responded to 14 animal/loose livestock calls.
