PURSUIT LEADS TO NARCOTICS ARREST
On Friday, March 7th, 2025 at approximately 8:00pm, Lee County Deputies initiated a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Impala on CR 119 for a traffic violation.
The driver of the Chevy failed to yield for the Deputies, and attempted to evade arrest/detention by speeding off onto FM 180. The Deputies pursued at speeds reaching 100 miles per hour.
The driver turned onto CR 124 and crossed into Burleson County before stopping at a private residence. The male suspect exited the vehicle, and threw numerous bags into a camp fire, before continuing to evade arrest on foot. A brief foot chase ensued, before the suspect was caught; while another Deputy recovered the numerous bags from the fire.
In the recovered bags, Deputies located a large amount of various narcotics. The driver was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail. The suspect's vehicle and currency were seized for further investigation by the Lee County Criminal Investigations Division.
"Kesean Graves" of Giddings, was charged with:
- Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle - 3rd Degree Felony
- Evading Arrest/Detection - Class A Misdemeanor
- Possession of Marihuana <= 5 lbs - State Jail Felony
- Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substance - 1st Degree Felony
- Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substance - 1st Degree Felony
Lee County Constable Pct. 2, K9 "RIDO", Giddings Police Department, and Texas DPS assisted at the scene.
