ONE ARRESTED AFTER DISCHARGING FIREARM
On Sunday, March 9th, 2025 at approximately 2:52pm, Lee County Dispatch received a report that a male subject fired a shot from a handgun at an RV Park located on Hwy 77 North in Lexington.
As Deputies responded, witnesses reported the male subject was sitting on his porch with the gun in hand. As Deputies arrived, it was determined that the male suspect was located inside of his RV.
Deputies established contact with the suspect, and gave him verbal commands to exit the trailer. After a short period of time, the male subject exited the trailer, but failed to comply with the deputies' instructions. The suspect received two bursts of pepper spray before complying.
The male suspect was arrested and transported to the Lee County without further incident.
"Alan Welton" of Lexington was charged with:
- Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon - 2nd Degree Felony
