GUNSHOTS REPORTED IN SOUTH LEE COUNTY
On Thursday 12/19/2024 at approximately 12:16pm, the Lee County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting a shooting in the 2100 block of County Road 217 in South Lee County.
Shortly thereafter, the Lee County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center received another 911 call reporting a gunshot victim was being transported away from the scene in a vehicle.
Lee County Sheriff Garrett Durrenberger and Lee County Deputies arrived at the scene and one male suspect was placed under arrest without incident.
One male victim was driven to the Lee County Law Enforcement Center where he was treated by Lee County EMS and transported by helicopter for further treatment.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division is conducting the investigation with the assistance of the Texas Rangers. There is no danger to the public.
The names of the suspect and victim will not be released at this time - as this is an active and on-going criminal investigation.
