3/25/2024

Caller reported someone crashed through his fence overnight on CR 133. Deputy responded to investigate and make report.

Deputies assisted with funeral escort.

Caller requested a close patrol of property on CR 133. A Hispanic male was in the area asking to buy drugs. Close patrol in effect.

Caller requested a Deputy for a noise complaint on CR 232. Deputy responded to the location.

Sergeant checked on stranded motorist on SH 21 and provided a courtesy ride for fuel.

Sergeant responded to CR 430 to issue a criminal trespass notice.

Deputy conducted a follow-up investigation on CR 122, a male subject was found to be in violation of an emergency protective order. The male subject was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.

Sergeant responded to an address on SH 21 for a vehicle unlock.

Deputies, Trooper, Giddings Fire, and LCEMS responded to Hwy 290 East for a single vehicle crash.

Caller reported an animal cruelty case. Deputy responded to investigate and make report.

Deputies responded to a business in Lexington on a report of a Hispanic male harassing staff. Deputies located the individual and warned him of his actions. Information forwarded to LPD.

Deputy responded to a burglary alarm at a business in Lexington. Deputy arrived and checked on the employee leaving the store. All okay.

Citizen on 3rd St. reported a suspicious person with a flashlight on their property at 4:00am. Deputy responded to search the area; however, no one was located.

 

3/26/2024

Deputy responded to an address on CR 314 for an agency assist/civil stand-by.

Motorist reported a white SUV broken down on FM 180 that was partially blocking the roadway. Sergeant responded and located the vehicle.

Sergeant met with a citizen from FM 448 at the SO lobby on a civil matter.

Sergeant met with a citizen from CR 118 at the SO lobby on a civil matter.

Complainant from PR 7016 came to the SO to meet with a Sergeant in regard to a scam.

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked at a Church on CR 120. Deputy responded to check the area; however, the vehicle was gone upon arrival.

Deputy met with a citizen at the SO lobby in regard to a criminal trespass.

While on patrol, Deputy located a maroon Honda parked on CR F. The vehicle registration came back to CR 309. Deputy attempted to locate the owner.

Citizen flagged down a Deputy to report animal cruelty on CR 330. Deputy responded to investigate.

SO Bastrop CO reported a car parked on Hwy 290 West near the county line with a male and a female arguing in the ditch. Deputies located the individuals, and all was okay.

Citizen reported pallet of trash dumped on CR 200. Items appeared to come from a shipping company. Citizen volunteered to remove the trash. Information taken.

Complainant from CR 127 requested a Deputy for an identity theft report.

Motorist reported a two-vehicle crash on FM 448. Deputies and Trooper responded to the scene.

Motorist on CR E reported almost being hit by a black Ford truck. Lexington PD officer responded.

Motorist reported roadway debris on FM 2440. Deputy responded to the area.

Citizen reported a stray horse on their property. Deputy responded to take the information for an estray report.

Deputies, Troopers, Lincoln Fire, and LCEMS responded to the 4600 block of Hwy 77 North for a reported of a one vehicle crash. Driver taken into custody by DPS.

Caller reported a one vehicle crash vs. animal on CR 330. Deputy and LCEMS responded.

Deputies responded to a requested welfare check on CR 133.

 

3/27/2024

Deputy located a white pickup partially in the roadway on CR 114. Deputy attempted to locate owner with no success. Vehicle towed.

Dispatch received report of a gray van on Hwy 77/FM 1624 with flames and a person inside. Sheriff, Deputies, and Lincoln Fire responded. Upon arrival, the radiator was causing the smoke. All okay.

Deputies were alerted of a disturbance between a male subject and several family members in the 4100 block of E. Austin St. Giddings PD assisted until the Deputies arrived. One male subject was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.

 

3/28/2024

Deputy performed vehicle unlock in the 3000 block of E. Austin St.

Motorist reported that a construction worker on FM 141 was urinating on the side of the road in front of other motorists. Deputy went and met with the construction supervisor to resolve the matter.

Deputy assisted Lexington PD with a welfare check on N. Hwy 77.

SO Bastrop CO transferred a report of a disturbance on CR 305. The caller reported the driver of a silver Ford pickup was hitting the passenger. Sergeant responded to the area but was unable to locate the vehicle.

Citizen reported a suspicious black Ford pickup parked on the side of CR 233. Deputy responded to investigate and found that the vehicle was not stolen but appeared to have been moved off of a lot with other abandoned vehicles.

Motorist reported a one vehicle rollover crash in the 4200 block of SH 21. Deputies, Troopers, Dime Box VFD, and LCEMS responded.

Citizen requested law enforcement for a disturbance on First St. Deputies responded to assist Lexington Police.

Caller requested a Deputy assist her in getting her vehicle back. Deputies were busy on the previous call. The caller called back to inform that she found her vehicle at a local grocery store. The caller then drove to the SO to meet with a Deputy. A male caller reported his vehicle stolen from the local grocery store. Deputies and Giddings PD sorted out the civil matter.

Caller from Fifth St. reported an aggressive dog in the neighborhood chasing kids. Deputy searched the area but was unable to locate the dog.

Deputy assisted with a civil stand-by on CR 103.

Caller reported hearing a gunshot and seeing a vehicle speed off on CR 425. Deputies and Trooper responded to the area. No persons or vehicles located upon arrival. Close patrol in effect.

 

3/29/2024

Deputies responded to an address on CR 430 where a complainant reported a theft. Report taken.

Citizen from FM 448 reported a dog that come to her property after nearly being hit by traffic. Sergeant responded to the scene and posted the dog's photo and info on social media. The dog owner was identified and returned.

Complainant came to the SO to make a report of harassment. Sergeant met with the individual to investigate and make report.

Deputies were alerted to a verbal disturbance on Terrace Dr. Deputies met with the complainant and children at the JP Pct. 3 office, then conducted civil stand-by. Parties separated, no offense.

 

3/30/2024

Sergeant met with a juvenile from CR 430 in regard to a civil matter.

Motorist reported having a blown-out tire and blocking traffic on Hwy 77 N. Deputy responded to assist with traffic control.

Motorist reported a female subject asleep in a wagon being towed by a bicycle on CR 118. Deputies located and identified the individuals.

Dispatch received multiple reports of a silver pickup truck driving reckless on CR 318/319. Deputy and Lexington PD patrolled the area, but the vehicle was gone upon arrival. Close patrol in effect.

Citizen reported juveniles on 4 wheelers driving without helmets on the county road and on the reporting party's property. Deputy patrolled the area but was unable to locate.

Deputies took report of a damaged fence on CR 315.

Motorist reported a male subject stumbling down CR 103. Trooper patrolled the area, unable to locate anyone.

Caller reported juveniles on 4 wheelers on PR 1112 that were driving reckless and yelling at each other. Deputies responded, located the involved parties and report was taken. Criminal charges pending.

Deputies responded to Willow Creek for a noise disturbance. Deputies met with the source and the music was turned down to a reasonable level.

Deputies responded to another noise disturbance on Caldwell St. Deputies patrolled the area but did not locate the source.

Trooper advised one Hispanic male subject ran off from a traffic stop on Hwy 290 West. Giddings PD and Deputies responded to assist in the search through the woods. Subject not located. A female passenger and child were provided a courtesy ride to a local motel.

 

3/31/2024

Male subject called the SO to inquire why Deputies were looking for him. Deputies met the individual in Lexington where he was arrested on an outstanding warrant and taken to Lee County Jail.

Deputies responded to a residence on CR 118 for a welfare check. Deputies found a female with injuries from an assault. A male suspect was arrested and booked into Lee County Jail. The victim was treated by LCEMS.

Caller reported a female subject had attempted to overdose on medication on FM 180. Deputy and LCEMS responded to the scene. Patient was transported for treatment.

Caller reported a physical disturbance where a female subject was biting him and grabbing the steering wheel while driving. Deputies responded to the scene. One female subject was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.

 

Lee County Deputies made 107 traffic stops during this reporting period.
