3/4/2024

Complainant met with a Deputy at the Office to report a stolen firearm from their residence. Deputy investigated and made offense report.

Deputies responded to residence on CR 226 for a death investigation. JP Pct. 2 responded to the scene for an inquest. Report made.

Complainant called from Westwood Lane to report a possible location of a stolen animal. Deputy responded to investigate.

Deputy spoke with a complainant who was reporting phone calls from an LCSO jail inmate.

Citizen reported someone spotlighting their property in the 7300 Block Hwy 77 N. Sergeant responded to patrol the area.

Citizen reported someone throwing an item at their residence on Cherry Dr. Deputy responded to patrol the area.

 

3/5/2024

Citizens reported a suspicious vehicle parked on CR 227 with multiple subjects walking around. Deputies patrolled the area and located the parties in question. All okay.

Lee County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a deceased body at a residence on CR 123. Sheriff, Deputies, Investigators, and Texas Rangers made the scene to investigate. The case is being actively investigated as a homicide at this time.

Deputies assisted Bluebonnet Trails with a crisis intervention.

Lee County Dispatch received a 911 call from Willow Creek Dr. reporting a single vehicle crash with two patients. Deputies and Lee County EMS responded to the scene.

Deputy conducted a welfare check for a resident on CR 430. All okay.

Deputy and Giddings Fire responded to Hwy 290 E for a vehicle with smoke coming from it. Deputy provided the driver a courtesy ride into town.

Citizen reported a small black car parked by a mailbox on CR 307. Deputy patrolled the area but was unable to locate the vehicle in the area.

Citizen reported a suspicious vehicle driving slowly up and down CR 220. Sergeant patrolled the area and located the vehicle. All okay.

While on patrol, Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a motorcycle on FM 696 W for excessive speed. The motorcycle driver failed to yield and proceeded to evade from the Deputy. The motorcycle crashed out in Bastrop County. SO Bastrop CO responded to assist. The driver was taken into custody and booked into Lee County Jail after receiving medical clearance.

Deputy checked on a mailbox on CR 309 that appeared to have fallen from natural causes.

 

3/6/2024

Deputy responded to CR 208 to assist with possible disgruntled employee.

Sergeant conducted vehicle unlock on E. Industry St.

Deputy responded to Trailside Dr. for a verbal family dispute.

Caller reported a truck fire at 4000 Block of SH 21 E. Deputies and Dime Box Fire responded.

Complainant reported tools stolen from a storage unit in Lexington. Deputy took report.

Citizen reported a runaway juvenile on CR 224. Deputy responded to take custody of the juvenile who was later released to parent at the SO.

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle on PR 2906 with a male subject sleeping in it. Deputies and arrived and verified the identity of the individual.

Sergeant assisted motorist with a flat tire on SH 21 W.

 

3/7/2024 

Deputies assisted US Marshals at a residence on Lazy Oaks Dr. for a wanted fugitive with multiple warrants out of North Carolina. Individual booked into Lee County Jail without incident.

Complainant requested to speak with a Deputy regarding damaged property.

Caller reported a suspicious white SUV on Kay St. The caller reported the individual was trying to sell things.

Complainant reported illegal dumping on FM 448. Deputy responded to investigate and make report. TxDot was notified.

 

3/8/2024

Deputy responded to assist with a vehicle unlock on FM 448.

Deputies and Giddings Fire responded to a one vehicle crash on CR 118.

Caller on FM 696 W reported hearing noise outside of their home. Sergeant responded to check the area. No offense noted.

Caller reported a possible break-in on CR 405. Deputies and Constable Pct. 3 responded to the scene to investigate. No offense.

Deputies responded to a commercial burglar alarm on Hwy 290 E. No offense.

 

3/9/2024

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle on FM 696 W. Caller stated a gray Dodge pickup driving slowly by their house. Deputy responded to patrol the area.

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on FM 696 for a violation. The driver was arrested on an outstanding Bastrop County warrant.

Deputy responded to FM 3403 for a vehicle unlock.

Caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked between businesses on Giddings St. Deputy patrolled the area but was unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputy checked on a female driver who was stopped at the Lexington Park at 1:00am. There was no suspicious activity, but the driver was directed to another located due to the park being closed.

Deputy checked on a disabled motorist on Hwy 77/CR 415.

 

3/10/2024

Manager at Dollar General in Lexington reported a criminal trespass violation. Deputy responded to investigate, but the individual was gone upon arrival. Report taken.

Motorist called to report two vehicles possibly street racing. Deputy responded to the area and located the vehicles.

Caller reported a physical disturbance at a residence off of CR 451. Deputies responded at the scene to investigate. The suspect was arrested for assault family violence and transported to Lee County Jail.

Caller reported a runaway juvenile on CR 415. Deputy responded to the scene. The juvenile was returned to their grandparents.

Caller reported a suspicious white pickup truck parked near their driveway on FM 1624. Sergeant responded to the scene to patrol the area, but the vehicle was gone upon arrival. Close patrol in effect.

 

Lee County Deputies handled numerous loose livestock (cattle and buffalo) calls and conducted 91 traffic stops.
