02/12/2024

Deputies assisted with a civil stand-by on CR 309. Report taken for property damage.

Previous complainant reported their 9 cows were located.

Caller requested a welfare check on their family member. Sergeant responded and found the individual was okay.

Caller reported a suspicious white work truck going from house-to-house on FM 141. Deputies and Constable Pct. 2 located the vehicle and the subjects involved.

Caller requested from Trailside Dr. requested to meet with a Deputy in regard to lost firearm.

Deputy responded to a report of suspicious vehicle on CR 133. The vehicle was gone upon arrival.

Deputies responded to CR F for a crisis intervention.

 

02/13/2024

Sheriff checked out at a business on Hwy 77 South for an open door. A search of the building was completed. Door secured and owner notified by phone.

Chief Deputy responded to an address in Paige in regard to livestock issue.

Sergeant met with a complainant to issue a criminal trespass notice.

Deputy assisted an individual who was trying to recover property from a family member.

Caller from CR 227 reported two black males walking the neighborhood trying to sell cleaning products. Deputy responded to patrol the area; however, the subjects were gone. Deputy met with other residents in the area.

Deputies assisted a disabled motorist on Hwy 290 West with two blown-out tires.

Caller requested a Deputy to a residence on FM 141 for an abandoned vehicle. Deputy made contact with the owner of the vehicle.

Caller requested a welfare check of an individual at a residence on FM 141. Deputy made location to ensure all was okay.

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 290 West. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was transported to Lee County Jail.

 

02/14/2024

Sheriff served as a guest mystery reader to the youth at a local parochial school.

Deputy responded to conduct a requested welfare check on an individual on FM 696 West. All okay.

Citizen approached a Deputy on CR 337 to report their chain was cut to their property. Information report taken.

Deputy was approached by a female subject who stated she was in crisis. Deputy offered services, but the subject refused and was going to meet a family member.

Deputy responded to a property on CR 130 to investigate the theft of an ATV. Item was stolen in the night from a barn. Report taken.

Deputy met with a caller on CR 309 for a civil standby.

Deputy met with Commissioner Pct. 1 in reference to vehicles mudding on CR 117 and 119.

Caller reported a dog in a crate on CR 106. Deputy responded to investigate.

Motorist reported a reckless driver traveling on Hwy 290 East. Deputy located the vehicle and made a traffic stop.

Sergeant assisted a disabled motorist at Hwy 77/CR 135.

Complainant from CR 123 called to report a theft of an electronic device. Deputy responded to investigate and make report.

Caller from CR 230 reported a suspicious vehicle. Deputies patrolled the area, but the vehicle was no longer in the area.

 

02/15/2024

Deputy responded to an address on SH 21 on a report of animal cruelty. The animal was in a shelter with food and water.

Motorist reported several puppies on the side of the road at SH 21/FM 2440. Deputy responded to the scene; however, the animals were gone.

Dispatch received a 911 report of an RV fire on CR 118. Giddings Fire and Lee County EMS responded to the scene.

Caller from CR 309 reported the location of a wanted subject. Deputies and Constable Pct. 3 responded to the scene and the individual in question was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.

Motorist reported a reckless driver on SH 21 West near FM 1624. Deputy located and made a traffic stop on the vehicle to investigate.

Deputy spoke with a complainant from North County Line Rd. in regard to loose dogs digging holes in his yard.

Deputy provided a courtesy ride to a female individual from Lee County Jail to a local motel.

Motorist requested assistance on Hwy 290 East after breaking down. Deputy responded to assist until a wrecker arrived.

Deputies assisted an individual in the sheriff's office lobby with a crisis intervention.

Deputies assisted Giddings PD on Rolling Oaks Dr. for reports of vehicle alarms going off.

Motorist reported his semi-truck/trailer had broken down on FM 141 and his lights were not working and he was hauling hazardous material. Deputies responded for traffic control.

 

02/16/2024 

Motorist reported a round bale of hay in the roadway on FM 2440 outside of city limits. Sheriff and Deputy responded, and the hay was moved off the roadway.

Caller reported her 4-year-old granddaughter missing from property on FM 1624. Sheriff, Deputies, Constables Pct. 2 and Pct. 3 responded to the call. A short time later, a resident in the area reported a child matching the description had walked up to their residence. The child was recovered safe and sound and returned to their guardian without incident.

An area hospital reported an assault victim at their facility from Lee County. Sergeant made contact with the involved party to investigate and report.

Caller from CR 412 called to speak with a Deputy to report an attempted theft of hay. Close Patrol in effect.

Complainant reported his wallet and paper documents removed from his vehicle on SH 21 East. Deputy responded to investigate.

Sergeant spoke with a complainant on CR 316 in regard to threats and child custody matters.

Caller reported a suspicious white truck parked near their address on PR 6005. Deputy responded and located the vehicle and involved persons. All okay.

Sergeant responded to assist a motorist with a vehicle unlock.

Deputy responded to assist with a civil standby on CR 314.

Deputy and Sergeant assisted a motorist at a gas station with a flat tire.

Deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on PR 7709. Deputies arrived to investigate, and parties were separated.

Caller reported a small SUV parked at a business at SH 21/Hwy 77, with a male subject looking into vehicles on the property. Sheriff, Deputy, and Trooper responded to investigate. No vehicle or persons were located and there did not appear to be any suspicious activity.

Deputies responded to a crisis intervention on CR 322.

Deputy was flagged down on SH 21 in Old Dime Box and informed that there was a person with a flashlight trying to flag motorists down. Deputy patrolled to the county line and was not able to locate anyone.

Deputy responded to a crisis intervention on PR 1339.

 

02/17/2024

Deputy provided a courtesy ride to a male subject from a Giddings gas station to the travel plaza in Paige.

Caller on CR 314 requested to speak with a Deputy about a stray dog on his property.

Sergeant checked on an abandoned vehicle on CR 329 off of Hwy 77. The owner was contacted to remove the vehicle.

Deputy responded to a requested welfare check at a residence on CR 203. All okay.

Motorist reported a reckless driver on SH 21 West. Deputy located the vehicle and made a traffic stop at FM 2440.

Sheriff provided a courtesy ride to two male juveniles from Dime Box Grocery to their residence.

Motorist reported a one vehicle rollover crash on SH 21 near CR 113. Sheriff, Trooper, and Lincoln Fire responded to the scene. Crash report by DPS.

Deputy responded to a welfare check/crisis intervention on PR 1339.

 

02/18/2024

Complainant from out-of-county called to speak with a Deputy about filing criminal charges on an individual that resides in Lee County. Information taken for report.

Caller reported the neighbor's house doors were open and no one appeared to be home. Sergeant responded to investigate. All okay.

Union Pacific requested a Deputy for 3 white females sitting on the railroad bridge. Deputy responded to investigate the trespass call; however, the individuals were gone upon arrival.

Sergeant noticed a livestock gate open on Hwy 77 while on patrol. Gate secured.

Sergeant responded to investigate estray livestock on FM 1697. Report taken.

Sergeant responded to a Church in Dime Box to investigate a vehicle that had caused damage to the parking lot by reckless driving. The matter was investigated, and criminal charges are pending on the suspect.

Dispatch received several 911 reports of a one vehicle rollover crash on Hwy 77 North. Deputies, Trooper, Lexington PD, Tanglewood Fire, and Lee County EMS responded to the scene. Crash report taken by DPS.

Caller reported a small car parked off of SH 21/CR 113 with someone trying to flag motorists down. Deputy responded and found the motorist had a flat tire. The individual had a family member on the way to assist.
